Yesterday I finally watched Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, and I loved it! Full of adventure, piratey stuff, a great script, a treasure hunt, a sweet love story. Loved everything about it. Penelope Cruz was really good (no surprise there), there was a lot of Barbossa, and the sequence with the mermaids was a little masterpiece: creepy, dreamlike, and a great action scene that kept me on the edge of my seat. Plus Jack Sparrow felt a lot more like the Jack I fell in love with in the first movie (I'm one of those who didn't like the sequels at all).

Now I feel the need of some Philip/Syrena fics, because they were just too cute, and I need more. *___*

It's the trailer of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. I have to admit, I love the first one, and I didn't like neither the second or the third one. And yet, this one looks a lot promising. Less angsty stuff that made no sense, more funny pirates, mermaids, zombies, and everything the first movie was about.

So tonight I had dinner with a friend of mine, and as she had never seen it before we watched Pirates of Caribbean, the first movie, together. Man, I had forgotten how great that movie is. It's ten times better than any of the sequels! It's fun, and witty, and adventorous, and it makes you feel like when you were a kid and first read Treasure Island! It's amazing! And it's the only one out of the three I haven't seen in a cinema. Sigh, life is unfair. =_=

On other news, have you seen the latest Shippuuden ending? Meet Naruto, the high school shojo manga! And is it only me or do I sense a Bleach reference there, with the promise between Chad and Ichigo? And we still have two weeks of break till next episode! At least we had today's chapter, and looks like next week the duel will finally be over!

And it's 36 hours till my aunt's and my cousins' arrival! Can't wait! \o/

I was reading cleolinda's journal, and I stumbled upon some POTC 3 discussions, and much to my surprise, it looks like ( the movie did have a happy ending! )

That said, I haven't slept at all last night. I feel soooo tired. And I didn't even have some coffee! I just layed there feeling tired but I couldn't fall asleep... =_= Now I feel all sleepy and weak... maybe I should get myself some hot milk, or something like that, and see if I can sleep in the afternoon at least.

And so I finally watched Pirates of Caribbeans 3 too! It's really good, it definitely saved the franchise. It was dark, sad, and still had those funny like hell sequences, it was a perfect mixture. And it had the one thing that the first one lacked: all those hilarious scenes with Jack and Barbossa. ^^ It also had the most shocking opening sequence in a Disney movie EVER. O_o

Thanks to Tati I also realized what was my weakness with Caesar IV, as I needed years to complete every scenario: I used to build too many houses, and couldn't afford them. I just kept building huge cities, and I didn't have enough markets and hospitals for all the citizens. ^^"

I'm back home! First things first:

The POTC3 Trailer!

Man, does it look good, and a lot better than the second one! O_O

Then, about my eye: it's officially healed!!! I had another round of laser (man, does it hurt), and it's all okay! Next check-up is on 22nd May (no, really), and after that we'll do the cateract surgery (on both eyes). I can't believe it's over. They complimented on me, but I don't think like I deserve it: my doctor saved my eye, and it didn't get any infections because of Tati (they said it didn't look like they operated on it). ^____^ I already made the laundry, but I'll wait a bit before unpacking, first I have to sort all the emails I recieved! :D
