So tonight I had dinner with a friend of mine, and as she had never seen it before we watched Pirates of Caribbean, the first movie, together. Man, I had forgotten how great that movie is. It's ten times better than any of the sequels! It's fun, and witty, and adventorous, and it makes you feel like when you were a kid and first read Treasure Island! It's amazing! And it's the only one out of the three I haven't seen in a cinema. Sigh, life is unfair. =_=

On other news, have you seen the latest Shippuuden ending? Meet Naruto, the high school shojo manga! And is it only me or do I sense a Bleach reference there, with the promise between Chad and Ichigo? And we still have two weeks of break till next episode! At least we had today's chapter, and looks like next week the duel will finally be over!

And it's 36 hours till my aunt's and my cousins' arrival! Can't wait! \o/

PotC is a great movie. :D I enjoyed the sequels, but the first movies are usually the best. I remember it being exactly the same with the Matrix movies; the original one set a standard that the sequels never managed to meet.

Don't get me started with the Matrix sequels! The first one was sooo good, and the other movies just spoiled everything. Monica Bellucci, for god's sake!!!

::g:: I tend to spew utter nonsense like that on msn past 11pm on weekdays, actually, when I'm thinking the right thing but my fingers somehow end up typing something completely different, and usually pretty ridiculous. XD;

Hah, the Matrix was my first 'real' fandom, with fic!writing and icon!making and all, so there's an awful lot I could say about that. >.<;;; There were things, certain bits I did like in the other two movies, but overall, it was so painfully obvious that they were trying to pile half-assed excuse for plot on top of the excellent first movie, and keep their fingers crossed that it wouldn't collapse. Or implode. It - or the fandom, actually - did both, eventually, with the release of Revolutions. It was a sad, messy ending to something I'd have otherwise considered an awesome fandom experience.

Oh well.

They just denied everything we learned from the first movie was true: the Oracle created the Matrix, programs have feelings, it's an whole mess! And vampires? Werewolves? Half of the time they were fighting and the other half I was completely lost!
