This was such a lovely day for some of my favourite fandoms! There are lots of wonderful spoilers on twitter coming from the Teen Wolf panel at NYCC, confirming what we already thought, that this show is indeed a wonderful gift from the gods. ♥

There's an update of the Travelling Lemon project here, with pictures of what the finished book will look like. And let me tell you, it looks amazing. *__________*

Tati and I bought the train tickets for Lucca Comics and Games, and she ordered new blue contact lenses for her Fem!Castiel cosplay. Now it feels definitely real, completely official. \o/

The Vampire Diaries season premiere was, as expected, brilliant. So many things happening, all of my theories turned out to be wrong. I love it when my shows prove me wrong. *________*

Tati, who is awesome, spent a good hour yesterday creating a Stiles and a Derek for my Rock Band band. She's so talented, she's the one who made Sherlock and John too, and as soon as she finished their wardrobe and instruments, I made them sing and play this playlist:

Werewolves of London - Warren Zevon
Hungry Like The Wolf - Duran Duran
Howling For You - The Black Keys

It's as good an occasion as any to remind all of you that most of the time I have the sense of humour of a twelve year old. Thankfully, Tati shares that with me, and we kept giggling and laughing all the way through it. After all, we constantly play Staying Alive just so we can watch Sherlock and John sing it and jump around while trying to steal each other's microphone. :D

EDIT: Also, COULSON LIVES. This day just keeps getting better and better! ♥

Rock Band Blitz is finally here! I managed to buy it yesterday (it's quite complicated, as one has to buy three different files to make it work), and after trying my hand at a few songs, I must admit it's more fun than I thought. The one big problem, though, is that after three songs my motion sickness starts acting up. After two more songs, I can't focus my eyes and my hands begin to cramp.

Not really a big problem, though, as I bought it mostly as a dlc pack for Rock Band 3. It has 25 beautiful songs, and especially Fun's We Are Young. It's Tati's and my 2012 song, we sing it out loud everytime we're together, usually while cooking, so we were ecstatic when they announced it for Rock Band. Today I tried my hand at singing it, obviously on Expert (ain't no short-ass gods around here), first solo then on harmonies (one person can sing harmonies, you just have to plug in two mics and hope that everyone sings the same thing). It is, unsurprisingly, very, very hard, but I managed to get five stars both times. The hardest part is obviously getting Janelle's part right, carry me home tonight, while I usually sing the na na na na part there, because the choir is louder than her.

And the best part is that since I have a boom microphone stand (Tati gave it to me two years ago as a birthday gift), singing this song at the top of my lungs gets a hundred times more awesome. I always feel like Carey Mulligan in Shame, the New York New York scene. ♥

Man, I do miss singing in a real choir. The drums are my love, but singing is so much fun, especially in a group. Maybe I should roll up my sleeves and look for a new choir to join.

About real life, everything's fine. I cut off caffeine for the week, because of last week's almost-here-it-comes-ah-ha-jk panic attack. I'm missing tea so much! Just a few more days, I must be strong. In a few hours I'll take the bus to Tati's house, I can't wait. Other than that, no big news, but me finally calling the gardener and leaving him my number: the jasmine plants on the terrace are all sick, and I need to replace them. A few branches have flowers, and with the windows open the smell is really nice, but from an aesthetic point of view they're horrible. I just have to wait for him to call me back so he can come down here and see what he can do.

Yesterday Florence & The Machine made her Rock Band debut, with Dog Days Are Over. I need to study the drums, they're not hard but a bit weird, but on vocals I was #15 worldwide (as soon as other people start downloading it, I'll obviously fall down the charts, but even if it's only for a day, it's nice :D ). A couple of months ago Tati created a Sherlock and a John for my band: Sherlock sings, John is on bass, except for those songs with female singers, when Sherlock switches to guitar. I gave him a guitar called "Fallen Angel" because I'm a horrible person. Anyway, the best part about it was singing at the top of my lungs "the dog days are oo-OOO-ver" with Sherlock going crazy on his guitar and John singing the harmonies. I love this game. :D

(Another awesome thing to do is make Sherlock sing Stayin' Alive, with John singing life goin' nowhere, somebody help me in the background. I should make a Moriarty just for that song)

Have to check my bag to be sure I won't forget my pills. It only happened once, but it was a night to remember. See you later! *_____*

Quick update!

- the summer is already here! I'm sure it won't last long, but we're having hot sunny days, and I need to start wearing shorts and get a bit tanned, because my legs look like white, skinny chicken wings. Not healthy.
- I'm going to spend the next few days at Tati's, watching the second season of Supernatural (and making pancakes, and re-reading Nodame Cantabile). Man, back then the Winchesters were such noobs, so adorable.
- today I watched Red, at last. I loved it! It's a weird action movie about retired secret agents, really funny and cute. Plus, Karl Urban is *so* hot.
- I'm learning how to play the keyboard on Rock Band. It's hard, but so funny.

And now I'm feeling like watching Megamind again. Code: see you later!

News from the hospital: everything's fine, mom's exams are fine, she should be back in the clinic before the end of the week. It took me two whole hours to gather this piece of information, and a good deal of stomachache. I can't help it, when I'm nervous it all goes to my stomach. Anyway after almost two hours of cursing every saint I have ever heard of I finally managed to get in touch with the one doctor who knew something, texted my aunt with the news, and drank a liter of lemonade to fight the nausea. Then I made french toast for lunch, and that seemed to cheer my stomach up, because now I'm feeling fine, just a bit sleepy.

Besides my stupid stomach, everything's going fine. I'm up-to-date with Chuck, and it made me realize I have a huge crush on Timothy Dalton when he plays a psychotic villain. Plus Yvonne is still the definition of awesome and makes me question my heterosexuality every single episode. I'm reading Lud-in-the-Mist, and with Jonathan Strange and everything it feels like I've been on holiday in Faerie for the last month.

On a sidenote, this song is the funniest thing ever to play on drums. *_____*

I love mail. I love it so much. Especially when it's at least a good month worth of reading material. :D

Wish I could elaborate more, but my PS3 just beeped, and it means it finished downloading the latest Rock Band DLC. Here's to a whole afternoon I'll spend playing Personal Jesus until I collapse. \o/

Just in time! It was a couple of crazy days, I spent yesterday with Shion watching Sherlock, and now there's another obsessed fangirl in the world. I'm so proud of myself. Then today we went to a comic convention, and it was great fun. Took lots of pictures, played Rock Band in front of strangers, and we were incredibly awesome at that, and then we came home and watched A Study In Pink all over again.

day one • a song
day two • a picture
day three • a book/ebook/fanfic
day four • a website
day five • a youtube clip
day six • a quote
day seven • whatever tickles your fancy

A very, very useful website I use almost daily is KeepTube. It allows you to download videos from YouTube (so that you can put them in your ipod and look at the pretty all day long). While you're watching a video, go to that page and you'll get direct links, sorted by quality. A similar one is KeepIt.

And now, I really need some sleep.

Back from my first day at the gym after a whole month and a half. My god, there are muscles hurting that I didn't even know existed. I'm worried about friday. Usually the day after the gym is fine, and then two days after that I can't even lift my arms. Well, it had to be done.

My Leverage Season 2 Boxset arrived today, and it was torn to pieces. Someone drove a car over it, or something like that, and then put what was left of it in a plastic bag. You can imagine my shock when I opened it. I contacted Amazon.co.uk at once, and they answered right away, apologized and sent another boxset. So, three more days until I can get my boxset. What I find irritating is that somewhere between England and here someone torn that package to pieces, and I can't find them. *shakes vengeful fist*

London Calling on Rock Band is as crazy and hard as I thought it would be, and so much awesomeness, you have no idea. I probably look really stupid playing the drums while singing out loud and swaying to and forth. Such a great feeling. :D

On other news, every Sherlock fan out there should watch this. Those are the OFFICIAL Korean trailers for our beloved show, and they made it look like it were a romance series. Seriously. I'll be over here dying of laughter, don't mind me.
