nausicaa83: (<x-men> erik and the kids)
It's been a while since I last played a videogame that made me forget silly things like food and sleep. My X-Men Destiny copy arrived yesterday, and I'm hooked. The best thing about it is that the story changes according to your choices: you can help either the X-Men or the Brotherhood, accept missions from both of them, or piss off everyone. I chose to play as the little japanese girl, Aimi, and I love her. She's smart and tough, and with the dark matter power I chose for her she's a wicked fighter.

I wonder why it is that everytime I play a game where you can choose sides I always tell myself "oh, this time I'm going to play it evil for a change, and see what happens" and then Cyclops gives me the puppy eyes and I'm all "X-Men rule!". I'm weak! I swear, as soon as I finish the game with Aimi I'll start it over with one of the other two guys and join the Brotherhood. The only Brotherhood mission I did was one for Quicksilver, because he's one of my favourite characters, and fighting alongside him is amazing. He runs back and forth, and the animation is so fluid, even with a bazillion characters moving all at once. Great, great graphics, and outstanding job on the voices too. I talk to everyone just to squee everytime they answer me because "ohemgee Mystique is talking to me! Yes, she's insulting me, but it's Mystique! Yay!"

Note to self: stop singing Erik, Erik Lehnsherr a-la Paparazzi everytime Magneto is on screen. I miss every word he says because I'm too busy laughing with myself. Not good. He's lifting a freaking bridge through the air, and everyone is all "It's Magneto! He's back!" And I'm all "I'm your biggest fan, I'll follow you until you love me, Erik, Erik Lehnsherr" and then he throws the freaking bridge on my head. Sensitive fellow.

On a completely unrelated note, I need to get a haircut. It's long enough to get in my eyes, and even if it looks sexy and mysterious it's annoying as hell. Besides, if it takes more than two minutes to blow-dry it's too long, that's my rule.

Random thoughts!

Yesterday I installed the Tardis landing sound on my cellphone, so that's my new tone when I recieve texts. Obviously, I got my first text at 2 am, and I started blabbering "The Tardis! The Tardis is landing!" before strangling myself with the blankets trying to get to my phone.
I'm still not used to it, but it's so funny I'm not going to change it. Still not as funny as Shion's phone when she had Castiel saying "Dean, give it to me" everytime she got a text. With multiple texts, you would get a very disturbing "Dean, Dean, Dean, Dean, Dean, give it to me". Priceless. XD

I'm growing really obsessed with Sherlock. In two days, I already watched it all five times. I'm afraid of what I'm going to do when I finally have the Blu Ray. I also love the fandom, it reminds me a lot of the Doctor Who fandom. That's a great thing, since my favourite show, Supernatural, has the worst fandom in the world, and they still scare me to death.

I recently bought the game Flower on the Playstation network, and yesterday I started playing it. It's amazing. One of the best gaming experiences out there. If you own a PS3, you definitely should check this out.

The other day I went to the Disney Store, got a bit greedy, and bought three new mugs. A Eeyore one, because he's my favourite, it's black with platinum graffitis (seriously), a Jack Skellington one, because it's scary, purple, and it also has Sally, and they're one of my favourite ships ever, and a Stitch one because I needed one for my morning cereals after I broke every last one of them. And because it's Stitch.

Completely random, I have a Tardis on my desk. Sooooo pretty!

At long last, we have some new scans from Final Fantasy Versus XIII:

It's been so long I had kinda forgotten what Noctis looks like. I'm so looking forward to this game, I loved FFXIII an awful lot, and I'm pretty sure this game will be even better! Speaking of which they're releasing the first FFXIII Piano Collections cd next month, but I'll try and get it from a non-japanese site, to avoid paying an additional 30€ because of stupid italian laws.

Since we're on topic, I'm also halfway through Dante's Inferno. Next boss: Dante's sweet daddy. It's actually getting interesting, and I have to admit I'm curious about what kind of crossroads deal Beatrice made to get her into this mess. Or she probably thought Dante was going even crazier than before and she dumped him for Lucifer. Smart girl.

Besides being utterly addicted to the House of Night novels (I'm already reading Hunted, and it keeps getting better and better), here's the most recent games I bought:

I'm going to play them both at the same time, instead of finishing one before starting the other one, because I feel they compensate each other. Dante's Inferno makes me laugh a lot, with its weird cheesy way of quoting the original poem, and the campness of it all, while Eternal Sonata is soft and relaxing, and soothing for the soul.

About real life, everything's fine: I still have a bit of a cold, but besides that I'm feeling good, enjoying the summer weather that's finally here. My aunt is coming at the end of the month, and I already can't wait! \o/

New addiction, as if I didn't have too many already:

Yep, now I'm a Rock Band addicted! I've always been really bad at rhythm, and so obviously I had a huge crush on drums and everything related, and after finding out that on Rock Band you could play almost every song from the Supernatural soundtrack *and* the Beatles' albums, I had to get it! I also got all the instruments at a very cheap price at my favourite shop. I already have a name for my band (since I needed one to get on tours on Rock Band 2) and it's:

Layla & The Vessels!

Yes, it even took me a good half an hour to come up with that name. It had to be something from Supernatural (well, Layla is from the Eric Clapton's song), so here it is. You can all laugh now.

Man, do I have fun with this game. I'm also getting quite good with the drums, and yesterday I had my first jamming session with Tati. She's an amazing singer (in real life, I mean), so we went on playing up until midnight. Next friday it's going to be a bigger session, since it's going to be guitar and bass too, when my two other best friends come to visit.

This is the funniest game ever. :D

For more pictures, follow the yellow brick road! )

Also, let it be known that Muse songs on drums are just crazy! I'm so going to die while trying to get five stars on Hysteria.

nausicaa83: (<primeval> high five)
Ok, questi sono dei geni. XD

Vota Kratos:

Vota Madison:

* Per punizioni esemplari nei confronti dei serial killer
* Per la libertà di espressione e di stampa
* Ombrelli gratis per tutti
* Per introdurre l’arte degli origami nelle scuole
* A favore delle quote rosa anche nei videogiochi

Eh sì, fanno sul serio:

Voi per chi votate? Io mi sa che punto alle quote rosa nei videogames. E poi, abbiamo davvero bisogno di ombrelli. XD

nausicaa83: (<himym> on my shoulder)
Highlight of the day: I found out that my PS3 can read my music videos, and I did a celebration dance in the living room as I could finally see them on the tv. Yes, that was the best moment of the day, what can I tell you, sundays are boring here. Plus Tati and Shion have a concert with their choir, so it's one of those days when I feel like I'm on a deserted island. Only me and my PS3, which is so awesome it deserves a name. I have already given a name to my Ipod (Dean Winchester), my Nintendo DS (Castiel) and my PSP (Zack), the PS3 needs one too.

So I've been watching How I Met Your Mother, and it's so addictive I'm halfway through the second season, developing a *huge* crush on Neil Patrick Harris, and if they don't tell me who the "mother" is before the end of this season, I'm going to kill someone.

Final Fantasy XIII update, I did a lot of levelling up in Mah'habara, so now my team is incredibly strong. Let's hope this feeling lasts. I last saved after getting Vanille's Eidolon, and as god is my witness, I'm going to kill all those fucking Eidolons. I almost smashed the controller into the tv after it killed me for the third time in a row, when I was two seconds away from the gestalt. Fucking creatures. Anyway, I'm loving these characters more and more everyday. I want to know more about Fang's story! It's just so intriguing.

*re-reads entry* Wow, talk about coherent thoughts.
