nausicaa83: (<despicable me> fangirling)

What a glorious day. After dodging a couple of phonecalls from people I don't want to talk to, but I have to talk to, but I can postpone them a bit, I finally could sit down and watch the new Person of Interest and Marvel's Agents of Shield episodes.

And we're going to use cuts here, because spoilers ahoy!

Person of Interest 3x01 - Besides the fact that it felt like meeting your family after a long summer, and everything was adorable and amazing, I just loved every new thing. First, Reese quoting Finch back at him. Fusco defusing a bomb. Carter being even more awesome than usual. I absolutely loved the fact that she saved Elias, even if it'll probably be like playing with fire. And I loved that Elias' themesong is, again, one of my favourites by Nina Simone. This show has such a fantastic soundtrack.

Shaw was amazing. I loved how different from Reese she is: her reason not to kill people is because she doesn't wnat Finch to complain. She doesn't have any of John's moral issues. And the way she ate that steak! Never thought I could love her even more than I did, but hey, I love being proven wrong. :D

And Root??? Her scenes all had me on the edge of my seat. And we finally have a real pronoun for the Machine! My only little complaint, I couldn't care less about this week's irrelevant. Maybe because I was way more concerned with the main storylines from last year. Anyway, I just found this particular story to be boring. Well, can't love them all!

Marvel's Agents of Shield 1x01 - This is the last time I'm using the complete name. It's going to be Shield from now on. I'm a very busy person! :D Anyway, I loved it!!! Even better than I hoped from the trailer. I was hoping Mike would be a new superhero, but it turns out it was just Extremis. Bummer. I loved how they played the gender stereotypes: everyone has the opposite gender to what their trope usually has. Mad scientist villain? Female. Slime lover scientist? Female. Empathic member of the team? Male. Tired vet dragged back into action? Female. Loved this. And Maria Hill!!! It took me a few minutes to stop seeing Robin Scherbatsky in a costume, but after that it was all a smooth ride.

But what about Coulson??? I can't believe they dropped that bomb with Maria and the doctor! Right now I'm thinking robot replica, like they do in the comics, but I could be wrong. I need to know!!!

In conclusion, two fantastic premieres, I can't wait for more! \o/

Yes, it is! I can think of only one better one for now and it's the week that has 8th OF OCTOBER in it!

Hoping that, since we have to wait longer for that premiere, we should also have a shorter christmas break!

Seems only fair!

I approve of your logic!

(Do you happen to know whether there's any news on the 'Sherlock' series three premiere? I just saw that tv.com lists it on 31 October, but I just can't put my heart through this every time so I'm not rejoicing.)

I read a couple of tweets by Sue Vertue, as of right now the BBC has reserved the 31st October spot 'just in case', but at this point it's almost definitive they'll air it on the first week of next year.

SO TRUE.

I can't believe in three years we've only had 6 episodes! Even considering lenght and all, they're like a 12-episode-long series. In three years.

I know, right?! It's like...I don't even have the words. Why did I like this show so freaking much, WHY? It'll be two years between seasons two and three, TWO!! WTF? All this for THREE episodes, not like we're going to get six this time. I'm just...

The only good thing that's come out of this tragedy is that I think nothing of any hiatus for any other show. I have honestly not been bothered by the break between the SPN season eight finale and the premiere in October. It's like BLINK, there!! With over TWENTY BLEEDING EPISODES coming as well!

Sorry fo ranting at you. I have strong feelings about this.

I AGREE SO MUCH!!!

Not to mention that out of the six episodes I only like and re-watch four. So it's three years for a show that gave me 8 normal-lenght episodes.

I need a cup of chamomile tea too. =_=

They show agents of shield on Friday in the UK, so I'm waiting. So far this season I love sleepy hallow. That's the only new thing I've got into.
