Anyone else having problems with LJ? First there was another DDoS attack, and then the flexible squares layout stopped working. I sent a support request, and I noticed many others have the same problem, but it's still annoying. Let's see if they'll fix it, I love this layout and I don't want to change it.
And now, weekly tv shows reviews! First we have Once Upon A Time!
This episode wasn't all that exciting, mostly because Cinderella is my least favourite princess. I loved how they incorporated her story with that of Rumplestiskin (for god's sake, how do you spell that?), but I was seriously pissed off when they killed the Fairy Godmother. Hey, finally a black main character! And she's an all-powerful fairy! And she just got blown up, what the hell?! Not cool.
Also the Prince was kind of dull. I liked that they were meant to be a younger couple than Snow White and Prince Charming, but they still felt a lot boring, especially compared to those two.
So we finally know how he got in that cell, that was very interesting. And I'd love to know what happened to the Prince. Maybe he got turned into a frog? Could be! And Emma made a deal with Mr Gold. Not smart, but it was her only option there. Also, really good acting on her part this week, wow. She also got a job, and that's awesome.
But what's with Regina and Graham sleeping together? I was so expecting that, but I still don't like it. She's an evil witch, Graham! Run! And this is further evidence that he's both Hunters, just like I thought: Red Riding Hood's Hunter, what with all the tracking in the woods, and Snow White's Hunter, a good guy working for the Queen. I like that. *______*
So, we already know from casting news that Belle is white, so guys, would it kill you to bring in a few not-white princesses? That's the only flaw in an otherwise awesome show.
Then, The Walking Dead!
This season needed time to adjust itself, it seems. I'm one of those who agree with Rick and would stay there looking for Sophia for as long as it takes, but I still think they were dragging this storyline too much. But yesterday's episode was great, and Daryl is now my favourite character. Sorry, Rick, you lost you first place in my list because of your annoying wife, boring kid and heartless best friend. Speaking of which, I don't blame Shane for what he did with Otis. He had priorities, and he wanted to save Carl. I can understand that. But all this talking of leaving Sophia behind? It's not like you're camped in the middle of nowhere surrounded by walkers, you're safe in that farm, you can spare the time, god!
And this brings me to my favourite storyline, Daryl searching for Sophia. I was so worried when he fell from the horse, and then he started hallucinating, and then I thought he was going to get all crazy like Shane (a necklace of ears? c'mon!), and then Andrea shot him and I really loved her last season but that was stupid and immature and she fell right to the bottom of my list of favourite characters. She shot him just because she wanted to prove everybody that she could use a gun. Well, clearly you can't, you dumbass, you had one lesson so far! God! One more stupid thing like that and I'm going to put you in my "I hope you get eaten by zombies" list!
So then we get to my favourite scene, Carol bringing Daryl dinner, and telling him all those sweet things, and kissing him on the cheek. That was the sweetest, most adorable and heartbreaking thing ever, and we just saw his subconscious in that scene with Merle and we know how no one ever said those things to him, and then I read that in AMC interview they said Daryl hid under the covers when she walked in because he didn't want her to see the scars on his back he got from his father. ANd that's when I lost my shit. You're my favourite, Daryl! Please don't get eaten by a zombie!!!
Finally, the cliffhanger. I haven't read the comics, although I'm planning to, so I have no idea why that crazy old man keeps walkers in the barn. Searching for a cure? He doesn't want to kill them because he thinks they're still human? That's rich coming from someone who wants all those people out of his property and back in the zombie-infested road as soon as the kid gets better. Or maybe he collects them, like stamps.
And finally, a little late this week, The Vampire Diaries
That was the one time I truly didn't expect her to be Katherine. Wow. and Klaus crying? That got me crying too, and then Rebekah, and poor Damon, and Stefan's amazing plan, although I still wonder who's in those coffins, besides, I guess, Elijah. We never saw anyone else in the flashbacks. Maybe Klaus' vampire kids, or something?
I can't believe I have to wait until January now. This show has the best, most excruciating cliffhangers.
