And Breaking Bad is over. What an episode. I never thought they'd be able to tie every loose end in one episode, but they did, and whoa. What a ride. As I thought all the crying was reserved for Ozymandias, they saved all the screaming and gasping and (I must admit it) cheering for the finale.

I highly recommend this show to everyone. It truly is a masterpiece, a perfect show under every aspect. Television doesn't get any better than this. But holy hell, it is also quite the punch in the solar plexus. So glad I got to experience it, though. Can't wait to see what Vince Gilligan will come up with next!
nausicaa83: (<muppet show> exit pursued by a bear)
Obligatory Breaking Bad entry. Still convinced it's a perfect show, under every aspect. Not sure I'll ever be able to watch it again. I made this icon yesterday, with this episode in mind, and it didn't let me down. And let's face it, I have absolutely no idea how they're going to wrap up all those storylines in one episode, next week. Don't get me wrong, I'm 100% sure they will, it's just, I can never predict where they're going with the story.

It's just so good and so emotionally devastating. To the point that many times during yesterday's episode I found myself screaming at the tv "why am I doing this to myself?!", and by the end my only comment was "best show ever". Very confusing.

I just hope Walt dies in a slow, horrible agony. Can't believe I could hate a fictional character so much.

A brief summary of Nausicaa watching yesterday's Breaking Bad episode, Ozymandias:

*crying*

*sobbing*

*hiccupping sobs*

*more crying*

*dying animal scream*

And on a sidenote I think we should all use what I call the Skyler White Test in everyday life: those who hate Skyler White are the same guys who side with abusers in real life, so run for the hills when you meet one. It's pretty simple, really.

Luckly I had already planned to spend the afternoon baking cookies and muffins in preparation for tomorrow, but still. I'm going to need a lot of sweet stuff to recover from that.

Oh boy, that new Breaking Bad episode. Worst cliffhanger in the show, what the hell. And I knew it was coming, I just knew it, but no amount of shouting at the screen stopped it from happening. Dammit.

I always watch the new episode in the morning while having breakfast, although that's probably not the brightest idea ever, because when it's over I'm always left offline, staring into space and thinking about it for the rest of the morning. To be fair, I wonder how it is for those who watch it on tv, in the evening. How do they manage to fall asleep after that? O_O

And the first half of the fifth season of Breaking Bad is over. Or, as I like to call it, the fifth season. Because if I have to wait a whole year for 8 new episodes, I'm going to call them "sixth season". Just saying.

I'm going to let my inner Arthur Shappey free here, and say it was BRILLIANT. No other words come to mind. Two iconic, extraordinary montages, and one nail-biting final cliffhanger all wrapped up in one amazingly written episode. The next season is going to be such a chess game, I can already taste it. Can't wait. And I realized halfway through the episode that I can finally order all the previous seasons on bluray, even if they're region A, because hello new bluray player. So happy! ♥

A few weird things that happened to me lately, in an otherwise uneventful week. A girl at the gym yesterday approached me and asked me about my summer. While we were chatting I noticed she was very nervous, and after a few minutes I realized why. She was talking to me like a teen talks to an adult, trying really hard to sound smart and engaging. For the first time in my life, I realized I was on the recieving end of the "awkward conversation with an adult". So then I noticed the girls at the gym consider me part of the Adults group, even if the Adults (who are coincidentally all friends of mine, and all over 55) consider me one of the Girls. So weird. :D

My Galaxy Quest bluray arrived today! I opened it, and there was a sheet with a coupon for the 2009 Star Trek movie. I found it very, very amusing. :D I can't believe I hadn't heard of this movie until two weeks ago, when somebody posted a gifset of the crunchy-chompy hallway scene on tumblr. It's witty, funny, touching, and it has some of my favourite actors ever! For all that I complain about tumblr (no space for real discussions or comments, full of kids, the epitome of the "serious business" attitude) it made me discover so many great movies and tv shows. ♥

I'm about to go to my weekly therapy lesson, and I just got a text that there's going to be Acqua Alta. Marvellous. And there's only one possible route to get to the clinic from here. Let's cross fingers.

I just watched the latest Community episode, Virtual Systems Analysis, and I have to leave a comment here, because it was the best Community episode, and one of the best tv episodes I've seen. It was perfect. They talked about autism, loneliness, empathy, and they did it without being condescending, they didn't sugar-coat it and they were never cheesy. It was smart, full of character development, and affectionate. Great, great job.

And since we're talking about perfection already, this is most definitely THE perfect fanvideo.

Not only it has great, professional editing, the soundtrack and the dialogues flow like one, but it doesn't butcher the cinematography like 90% of the fanvids out there. It shows you how beautiful this series is, from every point of view. God, I can't wait for season 5.

Last night I finished my Breaking Bad marathon. What an amazing show. AMC really knows what it's doing. Great directing, great screenplays, and the acting, wow. Most scenes left me absolutely speechless. This show is a 10/10, highly recommended. Check it out now, you can thank me later.

I'm annoyed that there's no european release for the bluray boxsets. This is a show that deserves HD quality, so I'll have to wait. Maybe they'll release them in the UK with the final season next year. *crosses fingers*

In the meantime, I've been listening to the soundtrack all day. :D
