The week of this year's dreaded medical exams is finally here. It started the other day with a check-up with the ophtalmologist who performed surgery on my left eye back in 2007 thus saving my eye. As it turns out there's a small spot in my right retina that needs to be checked every year, and that'll need laser surgery further on up the road, but other than that I'm fine. I also got a lot of compliments for my diet (lots of water and vitamins), and for my positive attitude! That's because I spent the two hours in the waiting room calming down a woman who had absolutely nothing, but was deadly frightened anyway. When I told the story later to my therapist she joked I had missed my calling, "calming people down before medical exams". She was joking, but hey, I gotta say that's kind of a personal gift of mine. :D
In other news yesterday I had a haircut, and when I walked out I saw a horse-drawn carriage happily going down the road, with two men in tuxedos and top hats on it, just enjoying the day. It was both weird and lovely!
The new computer hasn't shown any new signs of collapse since the Big Scare the other day, so I'm slowly installing all my favourite programs. I finally found a nice free program that lets me record music from 8tracks without needing keygens or codecs, so I'm downloading Winter Soldier fanmixes like crazy. *_____*
