Just watched the last episode of Heroes:
So it was Peter, then! I'm a bit confused at Sylar's death, though: I read they confirmed him in the next season... and the final shot with the cockroach in the blood? Ugh! Or does that mean he just, you know, escaped through the sewers, sort of like The Third Man? I loved how they showed us he had already predicted his own death, they have such great special effects! Nathan's sacrifice was a bit too rushed, but I loved it anyway. And didn't they use the same trick in Angels and Demons too? Did I just quote a Dan Brown book? Can I shoot myself in the head to avoid the shame?
Looks like D.L. survived, after all. And what about Parkman? And why the hell didn't they show us Peter landing after the explosion? Where did he fly to? I want to knooooowwwww! Great final scene, though, with the eclipse and everything. Go, Hiro, go! \o/
Now, the great question is: when is volume two going to start? Next fall? And when are the dvds going to be released?
About real life, today I had my first check-up at the left eye. Everything went well, it doesn't even hurt now, but the doctor says it's too soon to operate my cateracts. In other words, I keep my glasses and we'll see each other again in november... I'm a bit confused, I don't want them to mess with my eyes if they're not 100% sure they won't give me any damage, but on the other hand I had the entire summer planned as they told me, with two surgeries and everything, now I feel... lost?
I guess I need to take a nap. ^^

Date: 2007-05-22 04:51 pm (UTC)What I don't get is why everything happened at night though. When Hiro traveled to the future, the explosion happened during the day. Same thing with Peter's vision where we saw all the heroes together in one spot. I kept waiting for daybreak to happen so I could see how the season ended, but it was over before then.
Otherwise, this had a great set-up for season 2. Can't wait to see what the story is for that one. I hope they elaborate more on Nikki. There's obviously a lot more to her powers than they let on in this season. They must be building up to something.

Date: 2007-05-22 07:56 pm (UTC)Now I think that by saving the cheerleader they managed to save the world because she convinced Nathan to actually do something to stop the bomb. It doesn't matter if Peter or Sylar have healing powers, as the bomb explodes "by accident". What actually saves the world is Nathan's decision.
Now I'm more confused about Niki's power: I think the problem there is that they're twins, so their powers are probably shared. Maybe the Jessica she sees is just an illusion in her head, and the superstrength was some kind of shared power. Pretty confusing...

Date: 2007-05-23 04:39 am (UTC)Ha ha. That would be awesome. And it would be a good excuse to bring Nathan back - even if he's only a reflection. She could also tap into Linderman, Isaac, Radioactive Man, and any other victims of Sylar. Maybe even DL and Parkman if they don't survive.
We better mail this idea out to the creators before they come up with someone else.
