Just a short entry to let you know I'm up-to-date with The Hour. That's 8 hours of marvellous television, best sleepless night ever. Now I'm in that sort of haze where my body needs more episodes, and I'm just sitting here with a dumb expression on my face counting down the hours until the next one. It's a lot of hours. *cries in her pillow*

But seriously, how brilliant is that show? And all the actors are SO GOOD, and Ben Whishaw is extraordinary, is it something in the water up there in Britain, is that why they have so many amazing actors? Or perhaps was it a deal with the devil? One does wonder.

This second season looks just as amazing, and rationally I admire them for choosing to change the tone of the show, and give it brand new themes and all. A small part of me, though, misses the spy story, and the MI6, and the Soviet agents, and squeeing out loud everytime they mentioned the James Bond novels. ^^

In other news, my aunt is coming next wednesday! We've decided we'll call my old-and-new oncologist together, so stay tuned for news on that front too.

God, tha fight between Sam and Dean was so excruciating back in the day, because it took us five bloody weeks to get to The End, and all the way it felt like Dean would never forgive him and the pain was immense!!!

Cas and Dean are SO adorable, and they have the funniest scenes together. I love how, at his core, Castiel is just another monster, and yet Dean treats him like a baby brother he has to look after because otherwise he'd hurt himself or trip down the stairs. (I wonder what would John think of their relationship...)

One of my favourite scenes is when Dean takes Castiel to a brothel, and poor Cas is absolutely terrified, way more than when he had to fight an archaengel. XD And when they have to run away through the back door, and Cas is smiling just because Dean is laughing, even if he clearly has no idea why the situation is funny. :D

It's such a powerful theme, the idea that Castiel, an angel, rebelled against Heaven, everything he ever knew, because Dean taught him about free will, about doing the right thing even when everyone else says it's hopeless. ♥

Yes, I loved that moment SO MUCH. And like you I adored the expression on Cas's face, just gently reflecting Dean's mirth. The entire sequence was the one happy thing in an otherwise depressing episode. I honestly don't know how I'd have made it through those five weeks.;_;

I just watched "The Real Ghostbusters".:D You can guess that I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! I got such an extra kick out of it, because I'm familiar with that world. Heee!♥

I also had to screencap this and caption it.

Sammy and Dean have just heard that Supernatural has homoerotic subtext.

My favourite thing is that they've been mistaken for a gay couple since day one, and yet Dean still makes that face. XD Poor, naive baby. :D

(How cute are Chuck and Becky together? I love them! ♥ )

I know, bless his cotton socks.♥ (I love saying things like that about him; I always imagine Dean's mortified face.)

Had to actually leave the house for a very brisk 30-minute walk after 'Abandon All Hope'. ;_;

At least there was some humour to be had in the following two. I particularly loved the scene where they checked-in in in the psychiatric clinic. They were both excellent! Jared is so good at comedy. I just watched him do it in 'Swap Meat' too—every time he is given a chance to do something different, he grabs it and runs with it. Lucifer, that little sequence with "You're too precious for this world.", even when he had to play Sam pretending he was crushed that Becky didn't love him anymore. Love him!:)

We had almost two months to wait after Abandon All Hope, that was one funny Christmas holiday. I don't think I had ever cried that hard at a tv show, I was an asbolute wreck. It turns out what Ellen says to Dean, "kick it in the ass and don't miss", was something she improvised on the spot because it was something Kim Manners loved to say, so everyone on the set was crying too. I think that was one the darkest moments for the fandom.

And the fact that the Colt is useless against Lucifer! I wasn't expecting that at all, I thought Dean was going to miss, being tackled by a demon or whatever! That also gives a completely different light on that Lucifer!Sam scene in The End. At first we thought future!Dean was dying there because he hadn't found it in himself to shoot his little brother, but after that I'm convinced he shot him in the head, and Lucifer just healed. It gives a new sense of desperation to the poor guy, dying knowing that his past self has no weapons against Satan. Whoa, the more I think about it, the more I wonder how I managed to survive a whole nine months of that depressing season. It is splendid, but SO INTENSE.

The next episode, The Song Remains The Same, is amazing. It quotes one of my favourite movie sagas, so there's that too. ;)

Just watched 'The Song Remains The Same'. One more tonight and I'm off to an early bed! I agree with you, this season is very depressing. (And last wasn't pink flowers either.) I mean the first few episodes alone were just like lead in my stomach. Every once in a while I think of you watching them over weeks and weeks back in the day, and now that you said about the nine months...I mean 'brave little soldier' doesn't even cut it! I wonder what's worse: drowning in the intensity of it over a few days like I'm doing or stretching the agony over months. My conclusion is that...it's a BLOODY GOOD SHOW!

IT IS. IT'S SO BLOODY GOOD INDEED. I LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH.

Thankfully, with the new showrunner, the sixth and seventh season are lighter in tone. They are still dark and gruesome, but in a noir movie sort of way, way less angsty. Even if the main storyline (and villains) are definitely boring, especially after The Apocalypse, it was a welcome change for me.

Well, let me tell you I am glad to hear that, especially after watching Dean in that last scene of 'My Bloody Valentine'.*sobs quietly*

Oh god, that was terrible. ;_;

The Four Horsemen are so perfect, exactly like I would imagine them. I love how they keep quoting and homaging Neil Gaiman's American Gods (especially later in Hammer of the Gods), it works so well in the Supernatural world. ^^

I actually managed only two episodes today: one in the morning and one in the evening. That's all I could take—I honestly cannot bear more of it for today. Let me just say I saw 'Dark Side of the Moon' and '99 Problems'. I don't think I need to elaborate.

Thanks for providing me with happy place!Jensen.♥

I KNOW. Dark Side of The Moon is a masterpiece, but oh god, it's a kick in the stomach. And the amulet! And poor Cas! Wwwwhhhyyyy!

You should see this now:

Oh, I totally agree, masterpiece sums it up pretty well. In fact, it's one of the best episode in the entire series for me. But GOD! (Sorry, pun unintended!)

And heee about that video!:)

I started crying as soon as I realized Dean's idea of Heaven is exactly like mine, and then they used THE SONG, and then Sam was so cruel without even realizing it, and then Joshua and God and I want to hug Cas so much! ;_;

I choked up SO BAD when I saw Dean's face, following wee!Sammy with his eyes, fireworks raining over them.♥ But it made the heartbreak as the episode unrolled a hundred times worse.

And Cas, oh goodness! I love Cas. I don't have enough arms for the hugs I keep wanting to give all of them, it's like I don't know to whom to run first!!

The main problem there is that Cas has been substituting his Father with Dean, believing every word he says, following him and protecting him, and basically hanging on his every word, and now in 99 Problems Dean betrayed that trust. So heartbreaking! ;_; And the fallout is obviously going to be horrible...

Yes, I was thinking about that, too, the intensity of Cas's focus on Dean.

I also thought about the well done asymmetry this time: How hard Dean strives to always have Sam's trust, faith, support, you name it; he is so disappointed to discover that his brother's life doesn't zoom in on family and on him, that he isn't the center of Sam's world in a manner of speaking. While at the same time he is the center of Cas's—the fallout, I imagine, should showcase well that having someone hanging onto your every word is a double-edged sword.
