As I spent the last half hour scrolling down this site and laughing so much I almost peed myself, I feel like it's my duty to share it with my f-list:

Bad Romances

It's a collection of horrible, unintentionally hilarious romance book covers. From the titles, to the awful photoshop skills, from the spirit animals photobombing the sex scenes to the objectified scotsmen, from the lurky threesome guys to the improbable anatomy. And tentacles too. I'm laughing my sides off here. XD

Real life is going fine, mom is having her usual surgery this week (she has one every three months), so I'm carrying my cellphone with me even in the bathroom, just in case. Yesterday the hot, african weather arrived, and I had to turn the air conditioner on, although it's only dehumidifying. I'm feeling a bit ditzy because of my blood pressure, but other than that I'm fine. Sakura's shedding a lot of hair, so we have a grooming session every morning. She loves being brushed, and she always reacts by licking me everywhere. If I start singing to her she relaxes instantly and she stops squirming. Otherwise I end up brushing my own leg, and since the brush is made of tiny metal nails (it's for long-haired cats) and I don't wear trousers in the summer, only shorts, it's kind of an unpleasant situation.

It makes me feel a lot like a snake charmer. :D

Il mio Lollo (RIP) si leccava furiosamente le zampe quando gli spazzolavo la base della coda, o comunque qualsiasi cosa avesse a tiro. Sembrava quasi un riflesso condizionato :D

Credo abbia a che fare con la mamma gatta che li leccava da piccini? Si vede che proprio non riesce a fermarsi, come vado di spazzola deve leccarmi di conseguenza.

Può essere. Il mio gatto è stato abbandonato da piccolissimo, ma può essere una cosa innata (per capirci il mio bestiolo si vedeva che per molte cose non era stato educato da un gatto).

Uh, povero cucciolo! La faceva quella cosa di impastarti quando è contento? Ho letto che i gatti imparano quel movimento per stimolare le mammelle della mamma a produrre il latte, e dopo lo ripetono da adulti con gli esseri umani a cui vogliono bene. Con le unghiotte certe volte è doloroso, ma fa tanta tenerezza!

Nel mio caso la micia è molto più espressiva di quanto lo sia mai stato il mio cane. Lui era uno che se ne stava sulle sue, e detestava coccole varie, mentre Sakura è molto materna nei miei confronti. Mi sa che mi considera allo stesso tempo la sua mamma gatta e il suo cucciolo imbranato. :D
