This morning for a few minutes I had it in my mind to leave Tumblr. I had had to go through several pages of people boasting about how they were older than 17, thus belonging to the "grown-up" category of Tumblr users. While my ears were ringing with the sound of my cells dying, I stumbled upon a video of the recording of the Cabin Pressure episode "Limerick". Cue ecstatic screaming, flailing of the arms a-la Kermit The Frog, pathetic attempts at downloading the file before it will inevitably be sacrificed to the internet gods, and crazy declarations of undying love to that social network.
And in keeping with the Cabin Pressure mood, not even an hour later I saw a man on a unicycle. Crossing the street, right in front of me, all calm and collected while everyone else was staring at him, me included. Definitely brilliant. :D
When I came home I stopped at the store and bought, among other things, a couple of lemons, because the ones I had weren't photogenic enough. ^^

Second, I laughed so much at your lemons not being photogenic enough. I need to buy a lemon, too. I must go to a place where there is a proper selection--it needs to be a prime representative of its species--the comic lemon.:)
And third OMG A CABIN PRESSURE RECORDING VIDEO!♥

Date: 2012-04-19 01:26 pm (UTC)It makes me think of an interview with My Chemical Romance, where they said that they wrote the song Teenagers (teenagers scare the living shit out of me) after a dreadful trip on a public bus or something full of teenagers, with the singer realizing he felt surrounded, and that he was, in fact, no longer part of the group, but an outsider, an adult. :D
I got a couple of fat juicy lemons from Sicily (that way I know they're organic), they look way better than the skinny ones I had in the fridge. XD
My favourite part of the video was when Benedict did the intro, and John Finnemore saluted the audience. Adorable! ♥

The video is adorable, indeed, and I can only wish that it was closer--but it would have disturbed the actors, probably, and I'd rather not see them at all, then have them bothered, while they create this perfection!:)

Date: 2012-04-19 02:07 pm (UTC)I do not share that nostalgic irrealistic view that our childhood was better: dvds are better than vhs, cds are better than tapes. All those hours I spent rewinding tapes with a pencil because they got stuck in the cassette player, GOD. But I'm glad I didn't have social networks, that's for sure. ^^
I loved how we could see how they move: I had the idea it was more like theatre, with everyone standing close, instead they ... step around each other, like a dance, it's brilliant. :D

Plus I'd get to kiss Mark Sheppard to seal the deal. Nice! :D
