First things first, here's the latest health update. Chemio is indeed a magical medicine, like my therapist always says. Five days in, I started having the side effects as they had been described to me by the doctor, and at the same time I started feeling better. The pain is slowly regressing, my back hurts less, I stopped coughing, and I feel stronger every day. The side effects are bland: three to four days of mild flu, basically. I just have to be extra careful not to catch any actual virus, so when I go out I avoid kids like the plague, what with those stupid anti-vaxxers on the loose. My hair hasn't fallen out yet, although I already went and cut it all really short in advance: I look like a marine now! It was a great idea, because I've had time to get used to my face looking like this, I made it a gradual process. I wish it'd just fall already, though.

Fandom update: I have lots of free time now that I'm back home with my family, but mostly I re-watch series I already know and love. It's comforting. The only new thing I tried, I started watching Firefly on Netflix, but I found it disappointing. I know, I know. It's just, the space western thing has been done a lot better by Cowboy Bebop, while I find it quite clumsy here, and it's obvious it was meant to be a much longer series, what with all those filler storylines. Basically, I can't help but compare the Serenity to the Bebop, even if I try not to, and find the former lacking. I still have one episode left and the movie, but I've lost interest. Sorry, fans! I tried, I swear!

Gravity Falls is ending, and we're getting some fantastic final episodes. I keep re-watching them (and old favourites, like Dungeons, Dungeons and more Dungeons) and finding something new to love everytime. This show is perfect. *___*

Adventure Time had that beautiful miniseries about Marceline, and made Bubbline basically canon. Bless them, and bless Rebecca Sugar for that beautiful new song. I bought a new ukulele off Amazon because my beautiful ukulele is back home, and I spent an hour yesterday playing Everything Stays. After all those weeks sick and in the hospital my hands are soft and clumsy, and I've forgotten a lot of chords. Now that I'm feeling better it's time to work on that.

I promise more frequent updates from now on: first because you're all wonderful, and I read every message you left me and cherish them so much. And second because I have lots of free time now and I have no excuses to ignore my blog!

Love you all! ♥

My latest order from RedBubble arrived this morning! This time it was a shared order with Tati, so that we could divide shipping costs. Here's what I ordered:

The Dammit Jim shirt makes me laugh like an idiot every single time. :D I love hoodies, I have many fandom ones, and the Cabin Pressure hoodie, that I ordered from RedBubble last year, is the lightest one, perfect for Spring and Autumn, and that means I use it a lot. So I needed a similar one, and this Enterprise logo was adorable. *____* The Pink Floyd/Star Trek shirt really needs no explanations. ;)

And here's what Tati ordered:

They're all so cute! *_____*

I really love RedBubble. The quality of shirts and hoodies is great: they're soft and let the skin breathe. The prints are top-quality, they're not sticky and the images feel smooth to the touch, part of the shirt, not glued on. And the hoodies are soft and light. *___* Sure, it takes one whole month for packages to get here, but I'm patient. ^^

And Neverwhere is over too. What an episode indeed! I absolutely loved Benedict's Islington, but holy fuck was he terrifying. We all now have a pretty good idea of what Smaug will sound like, and holy hell mark me down as scared and horny. Seriously, there was one point when he completely lost it and I realized I was literally whimpering with fear. Sitting there in front of my computer wearing headphones and whimpering. Holy hell. I hope they'll release it on cd, because it's a masterpiece of a series. Loved it, loved it, loved it. Wish Neil would write a sequel, there's so much still left to tell about London Below and Portia and everyone. ♥

Next week's Adventure Time episode was leaked a few hours ago, and it's the one with Simon and Marceline's backstory. I won't say anything about it here, obviously, because spoilers, except that it was one of my favourite episodes so far. Very touching. I love this show. *___* If any of you want a link, drop me a line and I'll send it to you. ^^

I also had a great conversation today with my aunt, who at one point told me "I'm definitely seeing your point now, religious people are starting to make me atheist". Cue happy dance on my part. *____* It's the second day of spring too, the weather is amazing, the weird week is definitely over!
