Now, on to the real-life entry! I spent the day at Venice, as I had to go to my bank. There I met the guy (an employer there) who helped mom and me with our loan. From august 2005 to october 2005 we saw each other almost every day. So, here's the conversation:
Nausicaa: Hi
Guy: Hi
Nausicaa: ...
Guy: (looks at me attentively) IT'S YOU!
Nausicaa: (surprised) Didn't you recognize me?
Guy: (shocked. too much shocked) NO, I mean, you're sooooooo different, you're like...what...(incoherent babbling)
Nausicaa: ...I cut my hair.
Guy: Not that, it's everything, now you look beautiful!
What Nausicaa says: My, thank you! ^^
What Nausicaa is thinking: Why, that means I was ugly before?? =_=
Guy: (who can probably read my mind) I mean, you were so... shy, and now you're so... beautiful!
Nausicaa: (still pissed off) Thank you again! (bright fake smile)
So, note to guys: don't worry about complimenting girls, you'll end up making a mess anyway.
When I came out of the bank I was a bit bored and didn't want to come back home, so I went shopping and bought myself two new books, as I had finished High Fidelity. They're Lawrence's Sons and Lovers, and the original version (I mean, in english, I obviously already have it translated in italian) of Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass, which I started reading in the bus on my way home. It's funnier than I remembered! ^^
