I finally watched Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. First things first: I'm a huge fan of old Burton movies, and I hated or disliked all his recent movies (but the Corpse Bride). So I was being really pessimistic about this one. And then, surprise, I started loving every minute of it. Everything up to the final battle, and then it all fell apart. A wonderful movie with the most clueless final battle sequence ever. And why oh why did they put that horrible dance sequence? Next time I watch this movie I'll just skip that part entirely.
In conclusion: one hour and thirty minutes of the movie? Pure gold. The rest? I'm forcibly trying to forget about it. And yes, I'm going to get the blu ray, and watch those three fourths of the movie over and over again.
And now, a funny question. When does the whole Hatter/Alice ship start? I read the books, watched the cartoon a million times, but it is only recently I find everyone shipping Alice with the Hatter. Don't get me wrong, I loved them here almost as much as I loved them in the SyFy series, but still, I'm really curious about when it all started.
Talking about books, today I was stuck in my doctor's waiting room for two hour and a half. No, I'm not exaggerating. I got there at 4 pm, got out at 6.30 pm. I brought Betrayed, the second book of the House of Night novels, with me to pass the time. Yes, it was even better than the first one. And it made me cry right there in front of all those strangers. I tried to control myself, if I had been alone I would have surely started sobbing, and I acted like I had a terrible cold. I guess it's a compliment to the writers for being so good they made me cry in public, but right now I'm very angry at them. Plus, the next book, Chosen will only get here by monday (I ordered it from Amazon). I'm dying here!
