Thanks to the lovely ragweedtd who now, after telling me to watch this movie, owns my soul, I can proudly present you this masterpiece:

I watched it once, and it's already in my Top Five Best Movies Of All Time. It's that good. It's so good you should be watching it right now. Like, why aren't you watching it yet?!

As if I needed another reason to love Lee Pace.

Per gli amici italiani, purtroppo non è ancora uscito da noi. Pur essendo un film del 2006, è stato presentato a un festival del cinema da noi solo quest'estate, quindi ci sarà da aspettare parecchio prima di poterlo vedere doppiato. Nel frattempo, potete trovare degli ottimi subs e godervelo così. Fidatevi, ne vale la pena.

What's the bad news? The bad news is I have to wait two freaking weeks before Amazon delivers the dvd here, so I'm stuck with the DivX until then. God, I can't wait to watch it on my television instead of the computer screen. *_*

I can't believe it hasn't arrived here in Italy yet. They just showed it at a movie festival a year ago (and obviously it won everything), but that's it.

I never hit theatres in Canada either, despite premiering at the Toronto Film Festival back in 2006. It's only been released on DVD recently in Canada and not at all in the UK or Europe. D:

That's why I had to order the dvd from Amazon.com. Well, when it comes out here too, I'll buy the Italian dvd as well. :D

"La storia prende le sue mosse iniziali da un ospedale. Una bambina, figlia di immigrati sfruttati in un frutteto, stringe amicizia a causa del suo braccio rotto con uno stuntman. Questo attore è paralizzato nel suo letto a causa di un incidente sul set, che si scopre essere frutto di un tentato suicidio: l’attrice di cui è innamorato ha infatti occhi solo per il protagonista del film. Il nostro stuntman interpretato da Lee Pace (una qualità del buon Tarsem è quella di riuscire ad affidarsi ad attori di terzo piano, ma solidi nell’interpretare ciò che gli viene affidato) vede nella bambina la porta per la sua fuga dalla vita. La imbriglia con un racconto fantastico e fantasioso, in cui interpreta un temibile bandito nero a capo di un manipolo di banditi assetati di vendetta, con lo scopo di manipolarla e di farsi portare veleni con cui farla finita.
