I just found out there's a fantastic esthetician 30 seconds from my house. She set shop inside an hairdresser's, that's why I had no idea she was there. Today I went for a pedicure (I have 99 problems with my feet, and they're all painful), and we talked a lot, and she's awesome and really, really good at her job. Now my toenails are purple and pretty and my feet are all soft and nothing hurts, it's great.

I should probably write a post about a woman's relationship with her body after breast cancer, and how estethicians help a lot with feeling at ease with one's body, instead of that weird disconnection between "you" and "your body that's trying to kill you", but that would take me a lot of time and right now I just want to wiggle my toes and giggle for a while. I feel pretty, oh so pretty. ♥

Ho sempre sostenuto che la pedicure e' il miglior 'pampering'. Penso che poche donne amino i propri piedi, e io maltratto i miei i maniera indicibile. Sono mesi che mi riprometto di andare a fare una pedicure decente, i miei poveri piedini sono ridotti in uno stato miserabile..questo post magari mi fara' da incentivo :)

Mi sembra di camminare su una nuvola. Considerato poi che sono stata anche operata a un piede, come mi fa male un'unghietta vado fuori di testa dal nervoso.

Ouch! Io piu' che altro sono pigra e di mettermi li' con pietra pomice e tutta l'attrezzatura non mi riesce proprio, quindi arrivo ad avere piedi secchi, duri e doloranti di conseguenza. Mmmm, si', pedicure quanto prima.

Poi da sole si riesce a fare fino a un certo punto. Io riesco anche a contocermi abbastanza da riuscire a depilarmi le gambe nel lavandino, ma una pedicure completa da sola no, è troppo per la mia schiena.
