nausicaa83It's that time of the year again, when I have to do a bunch of medical exams before my oncological check-up on December. Otherwise known as 'the time of the year when I'm constantly freaking out'. Today I had the first one, a liver ultrasonography. Since 2009 I have an angioma in my liver they have to keep an eye on, and it's sort of like a mole. A scary mole inside my freaking body that I can't check myself. Anyway, the doctor was an old friend of my therapist's, and he was listening to this song on his iPhone when I came in, which helped a lot with my nerves when I had to fight not to burst into a laughter. He did the exam, and found two cysts, and that scared the living hell outside of me, until he specified they're nothing to worry about, just to check them again in two years.
Now that I'm home, the adrenaline is starting to wear off, but holy hell was that scary. So now I'm starving, because I couldn't eat for twelve hours before the exam, and then I was still too nervous to eat. Even Sakura is looking positively edible now, yum yum.
In short, all's well that ends well, my body isn't trying to kill me again, it's a wonderful day and I'm probably going to spend the rest of it eating. :D

Mi vergogno a dirlo, ho sempre avuto gatti, ma non so bene quanto costassero perchè ci pensava mia mamma a comprare tutto per loro =)

Date: 2012-11-11 08:23 am (UTC)OH. MY. GOD. You do know I will bug you every other hour to know which episode you're at, what do you think of the music, isn't Sam's hair adorable, and so on so forth? :D
Seriously, just skip the episode Bugs, and be patient because the series starts being great only by the end of the first season, and I truly fell in love with it with the final episodes of the second season. You'll see why.

I liked the episodes so far, but haven't gone into an OMG mode. The show reminds me of The X Files a lot, which is totally cool! So I'm enjoying it so far, but I know I've not seen anything yet.

Date: 2012-11-11 09:47 am (UTC)My OMG mode started by the end of the second season, although the final episodes of the first season got a "holy shit that was amazing". By the time the third season started, it was my favourite show forever and ever with a cherry on top. :D
The X-Files feeling was there for me too, not to mention Kim Manners was producer and director of both shows (he died during the fourth season, sadly).

How sad that he passed away.:( Speaking of X-Files connections, I just watched "Scarecrow" and was excited to see Cigarette Smoking Man. Thought, "Ha, it's cool to see him play a nice, harmless professor guy." Then thought, "Ah." :D
