First, some good news about real life! My aunt is finally coming to visit on thursday. I'm absolutely ecstatic: with her mom's accident, the last time she came here was last February, while I only managed to go and visit her for two days in June. That's the longest we've ever been separated, and her absence was driving me up the wall. I shall spend the whole of tomorrow cleaning up the house for her, because I love it when she compliments me for my tidyness. :D

On sunday I finally heard from a friend of mine who's gone through a personal tragedy last June, and who after that decided to cut off all communications with everyone. I obviously respected her wishes, and just sent her a few texts now and then to let her know I was thinking about her. On sunday she answered back, and she wrote me that even if she didn't feel like talking to anyone, she was ready for having a written conversation. From a psychological point of view it was brutal for me, what with talking about death, and loss, and feeling completely empty, but by the end of it she said she was feeling better and thanked me. Sharing can hurt, but at the same time I'm so happy I could do something to help her, that nothing else matters.

Tati came by to spend the whole of monday here, and as I said before, monday is now my favourite time of the week. We played music, watched Basil The Great MouseDetective and compared it to canon Doyle stories, and we had, as always, a wonderful time. ♥

Today I had therapy, another productive session, that was sadly cut short because we heard screams from a room down the hallway, and it was an elderly lady who had fallen on the floor. My therapist ran to help her, and then a couple of nurses arrived, and finally a doctor came by too, but it was scary while it lasted. Luckly she wasn't hurt, nothing broken, but she was really scared.

And now, on to the fandoms! First, news for all you Sherlock fans, the Casebook is finally available for pre-order, and they released the cover too, more details here. I'm so looking forward to it, and it's so nice to have news about my beloved favourite show even during the Horrible Hiatus. ^^

Last but most definitely not least, the Teen Wolf finale. I kept talking about it all weekend, and it's a miracle Tati didn't just lock me outside the flat or anything. Short, non-spoilery review: I freaking loved it. I had to stop it after five minutes in, to go to the bedroom and grab Snoopadoop, so that I could hug it for the rest of the episode. Yes, I looked like a 13-year-old girl. No, I don't care one bit. It was beautiful and heartbreaking, and during a certain scene with the Stilinskis I was crying so much I was sobbing, not a pretty picture. My eyes still feel puffy because of that. Yet I loved how they kept making fun of themselves during the final battle, what with the music and the snide remarks, and the eyerolls. When a show starts taking itself too seriously, it's the end (remember the train wreck that was Heroes?). I'm happy we got to see some of the new storylines for the next season, instead of being left there hanging. Although the idea of having to wait a whole year for new episodes is making me want to throw stuff at the walls. Oh well, I'll have all of twelve months to convince all my friends to give this show a try, and then stand there cuckling while they succumb to its awesomeness. One way or another, I'm gonna find ya, I'm gonna getcha getcha getcha getcha... :D

So che è un argomento delicato,però credo che tu ti sia comportata davvero da ottima amica con la tua amica che ora sta passando questo brutto momento..in certe situazione è sempre complicato comportarsi nel modo migliore e capisco la tua amica perchè anche io in passato ho fatto come lei in momenti tragici della mia vita ed è in quei momenti che la gente dovrebbe mettere da parte gli egoismi e stare accanto a qualcuno senza soffocarlo.

La guida su Sherlock mi piace da matti *__* mi sono talmente gasata che la volevo già acquistare ma poi ho letto che esce il 25 Ottobre ^^" peccato perchè sarebbe stato il regalo perfetto per il compleanno di un'amica xD

Anch'io preferisco essere lasciata tranquilla quando non ho voglia di parlare, così ho preferito evitare di insistere, e le ho mandato degli sms alla "spero che tu stia bene" o "ti penso tanto" ogni paio di settimane. In questo modo non la infastidivo, ma allo stesso le facevo sapere che non l'avevo dimenticata. A quanto pare, è stata la tecnica giusta. Vorrei poter fare di più, certamente, ma purtroppo in certi casi c'è davvero poco che si possa fare, solo dar tempo al tempo.

Finalmente nuovo merchandise di Sherlock! Tocca aspettare un pò, ma ne varrà la pena! *___________*

Mi trovi pienamente d'accordo e anzi dovrebbe proprio essere questa la regola generale della buona amica,peccato purtroppo che tanta gente non riesce a capirlo e pensano che una sparisca per sport o divertimento :/ Spero che si possa riprendere presto la tua amica e sono certa che la chiacchierata l'avrà aiutata nella giusta direzione.

Vero!Così almeno avremo qualcosa da fare mentre aspettiamo la terza stagione *____* e io mi sono pure friendata quella community che ammetto non conoscevo xD

Thanks for the link to the Sherlock Casebook: I've immediately pre-ordered it from Amazon! Behold how my salary vanishes in fannish stuff! But it's a good way to spend one's money, isn't it? ;) Moreover, I'm going to London in a week and I already know I won't be able to resist more Doctor Who stuff, some Olympics memorabilia and a few items from The Forbidden Planet. Thank god my bank account is only mine, so I don't have anybody to argue about it with! Also, hubby is very understanding about my passions (and even shares some of my fandoms, although at a lesser level), so he doesn't complain too much. ;)

Sto benone! Anche a me sei mancata! Di novità ce ne son poche (agosto è il mese più noioso dell'anno, diciamolo), ma ho prenotato l'albergo a Milano per andare a vedere Frankenstein di Danny Boyle al cinema, sono super eccitata per l'arrivo della zia domani, e sono perdutamente innamorata di Teen Wolf (casomai avessi bisogno di un altro fandom). Considerata anche la pausa che abbiamo avuto dall'afa, questa prima metà di agosto è stata molto positiva per me. ^^

Teen Wolf te lo STRA-consiglio. La prima stagione (sono due stagioni da 12 episodi, la prossima sarà da 24) è leggera, divertente ma senza impegno. Per farti un esempio, un pò come Merlin, quel guilty pleasure per rilassarsi, ma che comunque ha una storia interessante e dei bei personaggi, per cui non si ha mai la sensazione di dover spegnere il cervello. Con la seconda stagione, lo show ha fatto un salto di qualità enorme e assolutamente inaspettato, la trama è diventata complessa e intrigante, i personaggi sempre più belli e sfaccettati, e ammetto senza vergogna che negli ultimi quattro episodi ho pianto in maniera indecorosa più di una volta.

Ho passato un ottimo ferragosto, super rilassato a casa! E il caldo sopportabile mi sta facendo finalmente apprezzare quest'estate senza essere sempre sull'orlo di svenire. Speriamo che duri così fino a fine mese, e che poi arrivi l'autunno! \o/
