First video of 2010! \o/

Footage: Ink
Song: Boom Boom Ba by Métisse

Wow, I wanted to do a video with this song since ages, and now I finally did! Hurrah!

---

Other news, the movie list is growing. Since the last update, I watched:

Gran Torino: that was great, moving, and Clint Eastwood is just such a great actor. Cried a lot at the end. I'd love to see Changeling too, but I'm afraid that would break my heart.
Be Kind Rewind: very different from what it looked like in the trailer, loved it. The ending was really moving, and it was so nice to see Danny Glover. ^^
Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs: cute, definitely cute. A couple of scenes made me laugh, but all in all it's just a cute movie. ^^

And now off to lunch! Editing videos makes me so hungry!

The good thing about cold weather is that you have to stay put, and thus you can watch all the movies you have in that big folder in your pc. Today's movie is a great one, so great I stopped it only once halfway so that I could order the blu-ray from the official site. I'm talking about:

Ink by Jamin Winans. It's a 2009 fantasy movie, and "as no big studio picked up the film for theatrical and home distribution, Double Edge Films pitched the movie directly to independent cinemas and also saw to the DVD, Blu-ray and online distribution themselves. Ink was downloaded via BitTorrent 400,000 times in a single week and exposed the film to a large audience, leading to higher DVD and Blu-ray sales in return. Jamin and Kiowa Winans wrote in their newsletter that they had 'embraced the piracy' and are 'happy Ink is getting unprecedented exposure'."

Reading that was what got me so interested in this movie, so I downloaded it. It's low-budget ($250,000!), but it doesn't look like it. The visual effects are great, both the action and the transition scenes. I especially loved how they choreographed the fight scene in the beginning. The actors are all top-quality, and everything is just perfect about it, from the setting to the haunting soundtrack.
Here's the trailer, so that you'll know what it looks like.

As the light fades and the city goes to sleep, two forces emerge. They are invisible except for the power they exert over us in our sleep, battling for our souls through dreams. One force delivers hope and strength through good dreams; the other infuses the subconscious with desperation through nightmares.
