nausicaa83: (<tsubasa chronicle> possession)
A real post, at last. ^^ So, the big news is: I bought myself a PlayStation 2. Yes, 2, not 3, as it's my very first console and I want something that works. :P And I also bought Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts 2, because I've been a rabid fan for a year having only played the game at Tati's. I have the plushies, I have the vids, I have the wallpapers on my cellphone. Now, the games are mine! *insert crazy maniacal sleep-deprived laughter*

It's awesome. I started with the first one, even if the one I'm looking forward to play is the second one. I'm even pretty good at it *proud*. I've already finished five worlds, and I'm almost over with Pinocchio's world. I'm also having this insane urge to re-watch all the Disney classics (especially Aladdin), but first I have to work on remembering to eat, and, you know, sleep, instead of walking around leveling up. :D

Man, I so much need a Riku/Sora icon.

My thoughts about the story, now that I know more details about it. Yes, the main plot does resemble Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle a lot, but did anyone else noticed how this universe has the same rules of His Dark Materials? The keyholes, the evil creatures feeding on people's hearts coming through these open doors that have to be closed... it's just like the third book.

Maybe they're right, and originality is dead. But hey, I'll take what I get. ;)

I loved it. Yes, even if they cut the ending. It was amazing, as if every creature and character was coming right from inside the book. The whole cast is perfect, especially Lyra, and I have a soft spot for Seraphina Pekkala. The daimons are awesome: they look so real! Nicole Kidman is the right amount of creepy and evil combined, and I can't wait for her to meet Asriel... I'm so much crossing my fingers for a sequel. I want to see Will! I want the dvd now!

*end of fangirlism*

Tomorrow my aunt's coming, hurrah! \o/

It took me three days, and at last I read all the trilogy. I feel like I hadn't read something so beautiful and captivating in years. The way it's written, the creatures, the story, everything is absolutely perfect. I can't wait to read more from this author, but I know I'm going to miss Lyra and Will. I finished the third book minutes ago, so I'm still moved and teary-eyed by the ending. Maybe before reading anything else I'll go and re-read Paradise Lost, just for the heck of it. I've always loved it to pieces, but now I feel like I can read it to a different layer of understanding. Better to reign in hell than serve in heav'n. ;)

Next week I'll go and see the movie with Tati. I've seen trailers and a couple of scenes online, and I'm pleased with what I saw. I know what they changed and what was cut from the book, but I think the most important parts are still there, so I'm optimistic about it. And I already read Cleolinda's Golden Compass in 15 minutes.

About real life, I've bought almost all the Christmas gifts! I just have to wrap them, and maybe I'll buy another couple of things next week, but one could say I'm over with it. Yes, I'm proud of myself. ^^

Long story short: I just came back from the hospital. On friday I got another blurry spot in my left eye, and today I finally had all the proper exams. Looks like it's nothing serious, an artery in my retina is contracted. It will wear off in a couple of days, I just have to avoid stressful situations. Want to know the reason I had it? Two weeks of big stress, thanks to a jerk who shall remain nameless. I still don't know why I didn't kick him out of my house when I felt the stress was too much, I knew I had to avoid any source of stress because of my eye, but I was so stupid I thought it was alright to wait until he went back home on his own. Luckly it's nothing serious, but it scared the hell out of me. See the mood pic? That'll give the idea of how I feel right now about this person.

On a much happier note, yesterday I started reading His Dark Materials (Northern Lights). It's one of the best books I've read in quite a while. I even dreamed of my daemon last night and it's a cat. :D Now I have to talk all my friends into reading it.

*wow, looking at that mood pic makes me feel better, muwawawawa*
