It's been a while since I last played a videogame that made me forget silly things like food and sleep. My X-Men Destiny copy arrived yesterday, and I'm hooked. The best thing about it is that the story changes according to your choices: you can help either the X-Men or the Brotherhood, accept missions from both of them, or piss off everyone. I chose to play as the little japanese girl, Aimi, and I love her. She's smart and tough, and with the dark matter power I chose for her she's a wicked fighter.

I wonder why it is that everytime I play a game where you can choose sides I always tell myself "oh, this time I'm going to play it evil for a change, and see what happens" and then Cyclops gives me the puppy eyes and I'm all "X-Men rule!". I'm weak! I swear, as soon as I finish the game with Aimi I'll start it over with one of the other two guys and join the Brotherhood. The only Brotherhood mission I did was one for Quicksilver, because he's one of my favourite characters, and fighting alongside him is amazing. He runs back and forth, and the animation is so fluid, even with a bazillion characters moving all at once. Great, great graphics, and outstanding job on the voices too. I talk to everyone just to squee everytime they answer me because "ohemgee Mystique is talking to me! Yes, she's insulting me, but it's Mystique! Yay!"

Note to self: stop singing Erik, Erik Lehnsherr a-la Paparazzi everytime Magneto is on screen. I miss every word he says because I'm too busy laughing with myself. Not good. He's lifting a freaking bridge through the air, and everyone is all "It's Magneto! He's back!" And I'm all "I'm your biggest fan, I'll follow you until you love me, Erik, Erik Lehnsherr" and then he throws the freaking bridge on my head. Sensitive fellow.

On a completely unrelated note, I need to get a haircut. It's long enough to get in my eyes, and even if it looks sexy and mysterious it's annoying as hell. Besides, if it takes more than two minutes to blow-dry it's too long, that's my rule.

First day at the gym today, first time since last april. Surprisingly, it wasn't as hard as I imagined it to be. Well, I was imagining Alistair's spot in Hell, but still, I'm proud of myself. Let's see if I can survive tomorrow without succumbing to cramps!

Worst part was when they started playing Paparazzi by Lady Gaga, and I was supposed to do a very complicate move with my arms jumping up and down, and all I could think of was this, and I stopped there and giggled and snorted the whole time. The new trainer must think I'm a lunatic now. XD

In other news, my cousin is here! She's staying a couple of weeks, and then she'll start her first year as a university student! I feel so proud and maybe a bit old too, but mostly proud. :D

And last but not least, the spring-ish layout lasted three whole days, because juuhachi_go, who's my own personal goddess, made me this wonderful layout. She's so amazing I have no words. Charles, Erik, amazing photoshop skills and Pink Floyd all in one wonderful package. *_____________*

I leave my house for no more than 24 hours, and when I come back it takes me three hours to go through my Tumblr dashboard. Three hours as in 180 minutes. This is crazy. I'm also very aware that Michael Fassbender and Benedict Cumberbatch are currently in Venice, and I hate crowds so I'm not going to stalk them at the Mostra del Cinema but guys. I'm breathing the same air. Go me.

Also, thanks Mark Gatiss for the nightmares. The latest Doctor Who episode might as well have been called "everything Nausicaa feared as a child, and she thought she had forgotten, but now it's back from the depths of her subconscious to haunt her forever. Also Jimmy Jim Jim from Ashes to Ashes". The next episode sounds awesome though.

Obligatory X-Men First Class fact of the day, two days ago I bought Marvel VS Capcom 3, and spent a good hour beating the shit out of Magneto shouting "This is for Cuba, you asshole!". What was my life like before I bought a PS3, I can't remember. Boring as hell, I suppose.

Yesterday shall also be remembered as the day I took a bus ride with a giant penis.

*waits a few minutes to let those words sink in*

So I was on the bus on my way to Tati's place listening to angsty XMFC fanmixes in my iPod, when a group of kids get on the bus, and one of the girls is carrying a giant, inflatable, pink penis that was at least six feet high. And she got stuck in the door. And the driver was all "Can you get a move on with your thing?", while I'm sitting right there trying my best to look all cool and pensive and stuff.

Maybe the universe is trying to tell me something?

It looks like LiveJournal is finally working. I hope so, I tried to update my journal eight times before giving up yesterday, and I could leave comments only on a few entries. I missed you guys!!!

News from the last few days!

I just printed all the papers for my flight to Rhodes next week, and I'm so excited I can't sit still. I spent the last two days at Tati and we watched Inception together, and she loved it, even with me spinning Cobb's totem everywhere humming Non Je Ne Regrette Rien all the time. How does she put up with me, I have no idea.

The Ao No Exorcist anime is great, and it's the first anime I've watched in a year, maybe more, it's a beautiful feeling. It's very fluid, the voices are spot on, the music is haunting. Great job.

My cousin discovered the Assassin's Creed multiplayer, and she's awesome at it. It's very fun to watch, you have to kill someone before some other character jumps out from nowhere and stabs you in the back, all while running around beautiful new settings. I would so suck at it, everytime I'm in a new location I spend the first half an hour sightseeing. :D

I'm organizing all the XMFC fics I bookmarked and planning on doing a recs post when all this madness is finally over.

News from the last few days!

Which one do I choose?! I'm Team Charles, but Erik is Erik, and both covers are amazing next to each other. I'm so considering buying them both. Somebody stop me.

Yes, this is what happens when my cousin goes to Verona with a friend and I'm stuck here eating a whole pack of chocolate cookies. I blame it all on sugar.

EDIT: And now Tati makes me notice that it's probably just the front cover and the back cover, and the only things Team Charles/Team Erik out there are the t-shirts they're going to sell at Comic Con. I blame it on the sugar rush.

Couldn't someone buy both shirts, sew them together and make a Team Charles/Erik shirt? I would so buy that! :D

Finally, finally it rained, and now it's not so hot I want to kill myself with a icicle anymore. My blood pressure is back to its normal values, my brain is functioning properly and I'm not constantly covered in sweat.

Last tuesday I bought a new cellphone, as my old one was not-so-slowly dying on me. I decided to go for something completely different from what I had, and I bought this one:





It's a Nokia C6-00, I called it Layla, like the song and like the alias I use everywhere lately. I still have to figure out everything it can do, because compared to my old cellphone it's like piloting the USS Enterprise. It took me an whole afternoon to change the ringtone, no kidding. It's so pretty, though. *____*
