day one • a song
day two • a picture
day three • a book/ebook/fanfic
day four • a website
day five • a youtube clip
day six • a quote
day seven • whatever tickles your fancy

The town of Lud is a prosperous, bustling little country port, situated at the confluence of two rivers: the Dawl and the Dapple. The latter, which has its source in the land of Faerie beyond the Elfin Marches and the Debatable Hills, is a source of great trial to Lud, which had long rejected such fanciful nonsense as fairies, elves and the like. Then a perfect plague of faerie influences hits the town, penetrating even to Miss Primrose Crabapple's Establishment for Young Ladies, and it becomes apparent to even the stuffiest burgher that Steps Would Have To Be Taken. Fortunately for everyone, Master Nathaniel Chanticleer, Mayor of Lud, is a man with his head firmly in the clouds...
I'm still halfway through it, but so far it's beautiful. I'm especially loving Master Nat.
No e-books, as I don't read them, so let's move to the fanfics! I chose fics from authors I haven't linked in my journal yet, because apparently I'm so lazy I can't make a rec post. They're also all Sherlock/John, because that's what I've been reading lately, so there.
I Prefer To Text - PG13. Sweet and touching, heart-warming. Read it while listening to this song.
Home Is Where You Let Me In - PG. The prompt was Sherlock, fairytales. Can't get enough of realistic takes on fairytales, and ravens. I *love* ravens.
I Used To Live Alone Before I Knew You - PG-13. Crossover with Neil Gaiman's Good Omens, Sherlock is a demon, Mycroft is an angel, John is simply John. One of my absolute favourites.
Only a few hours left to the new episode of Doctor Who (at least to the unlucky ones, like me, who have to download it), I can't wait! \o/
