nausicaa83: (<kingdom hearts> cards)

It's definitely time for some memes, it's been a while since I last did one. :)

Let's start with this one: list ten things you like starting with the letter...

[livejournal.com profile] tati_79 chose S for me, so here it is:

1- Santana - It's been fifteen years since I first heard it, and I still think his Samba Pa Ti is the sexiest song ever written.
2- Spring.
3- Star Wars - The original trilogy, obviously.
4- Smalto - Yep, I'm cheating and using an italian word. But S is a hard letter for me! :P Anyway, we're talking about "nail painter": without it, I feel naked. Right now, it's pink. ;)
5- Scotland.
6- Sephiroth's Theme - from Final Fantasy VII AC. One of my latest obsessions, I'm always listening to it on loop on my mp3 player while shopping. Estuans interius ira vehementi, Sephiroth!
7- Sims - My favourite PC game.
8- Sakura - My cat, Card Captor Sakura, the Japanese tree...
9- Strangerhood - See here.
10- Sora - from Kingdom Hearts. Not sure if he's my favourite character (I actually have lots of favourite characters, and I can't pick one), but I couldn't end this meme without a KH reference! :P

If you want me to pick a letter for you, just tell me in the comments. I promise I won't choose stuff like X or Y... maybe. :D

-----

1. Pick 15 of your favorite movies.
2. Go to IMDb (or whatever) and find a quote from each movie.
3. Post them here for everyone to guess.
4. Fill in the film title once it's guessed.
5. No cheating.

1- A: Glad they got him. A man guilty of all those crimes!
B: People with ropes around their necks don't always hang.
A: What do you mean?
B: Even a filthy beggar like that has a protecting angel. A golden-haired angel watches over him.

2- A: Have you any last words before I dispatch you?
B: You have got to be kidding me!
A: Strange words!

3- Hey, you created me. I didn't create some loser alter-ego to make myself feel better. Take some responsibility! [livejournal.com profile] ostogpatter

4- What came first, the music or the misery? People worry about kids playing with guns, or watching violent videos, that some sort of culture of violence will take them over. Nobody worries about kids listening to thousands, literally thousands of songs about heartbreak, rejection, pain, misery and loss. Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?

5- I was told to tell you that you're a fascist pig. [livejournal.com profile] ragweedtd

6- You're not going to lose me. You've given me a taste for life. I wanna be happy. Sleep in a bed, have roots. And you'll never be alone again. [livejournal.com profile] novemberghost

7- A: Seeing as there's two of us, a gentleman would give us a pair of pistols.
B: It'll be one pistol as before, and you can be the gentleman and shoot the lady; and starve to death yourself.

8- Life in a box is better than no life at all, I expect. You'd have a chance, at least. You could lie there thinking, 'Well. At least I'm not dead.' [livejournal.com profile] novemberghost

9- You HAVE the right to remain silent. What you lack is the capacity. [livejournal.com profile] ostogpatter

10- How are you supposed to know? Fucking men like you built the hydrogen bomb. Men like you thought it up. You think you're so creative. You don't know what it's like to really create something; to create a life; to feel it growing inside you. All you know how to create is death.

11- Don't be so gloomy. After all it's not that awful. Like the fella says, in Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love - they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock. (Too easy!)

12- Hey, you know, fuck you, man. Any moron with a pack of matches can set a fire. Raining down sulphur is like an endurance trial man. Mass genocide is the most exhausting activity one can engage in, outside of soccer.

13- He was full of plans. Have you got any plans, Jim? Do you want us to find a cure and save the world or just fall in love and fuck? Plans are pointless. Staying alive's as good as it gets.

14- In addition to our summer and winter estate, he owned a valuable piece of land. True, it was a small piece, but he carried it with him wherever he went.

15- To be overly honest in a dishonest world is like plucking a chicken against the wind: you'll only wind up with a mouth full of feathers.

No, I'm not going to lj-cut this one, sorry. :P

And about real life, everything's going fine, spring is finally here, and I've been sleeping an awful lot. On 19th April my choir will give a concert, and that's when we'll probably sing You Raise Me Up. ^^
