Yesterday we had some sort of storm, so now it feels a bit colder. I'm still wearing some clothes that I usually wear in August, though. I've almost finished the spring cleaning, I just have to wash the windows, but for that I think I'll wait for my aunt, as I have like 12 windows, and they're all doors, as they all lead to the balcony. I mean, it's a lot of glasses...
Yesterday I also watched a few movies I had on my to-see list:
- Utena, the Movie: first things first, I have never seen the series or read the manga. I liked the movie a lot, the cinematography was really interesting, and the animations flawless. I couldn't stand the character design, but luckly, as for Escaflowne, that doesn't stop me from enjoying the anime. I got really lost at the ending, with the car chases and everything, though. ^^" I think I'll watch it again in the near future and see what I can understand.
- Lolita, the Stanley Kubrick version: I've always been a bit disgusted by the story, that's why I waited so much before seeing it. It was a masterpiece, just like I expected. James Mason was perfect, and Sue Lyon was an amazing mixture of innocence and sexuality. Luckly she looked older than her age, and that made it easier to swallow. I just found Peter Sellers to be off in this one. Alright, everybody knows I don't like Peter Sellers, as the one film I liked him in is Dr Strangelove, but this time it's just because the comic sequences, and the disguises and the funny accents just didn't belong to this kind of movie to me.
- Stranger Than Fiction: now this one was a surprise. After seeing the trailer I thought it was going to be some kind of comedy with a supernatural touch (the narrator and everything), but after the first couple of scenes the movie got really serious. After all, it's movie about a person who's told he's going to die soon, and I suddenly remembered when it happened to me. They succeeded in making you feel exactly how it feels, without being sloppy or tear-jerking. I highly suggest you to watch it, there's more to this movie than it seems. ;)
And as you all seemed to like my latest linkspam, here's another couple of funny Disney videos for you to enjoy:
Disney Summer Nights - The title says it all. ;) Tell me more, tell me more!
Anastasia - Bull Fight - Ok, this is not Disney, and we've been tormented by this song for months last summer, but it's funny nonetheless! :D
Disney 4Ever - I'm getting crazy as I just don't remember where I first heard this song. Must be some music video I downloaded, but I just can't remember, I hate it when it happens...
