Since everybody and their sister's doing it, plus I don't have anything to do (already packed and all), here's a meme!
You know how sometimes people on your friends list post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when were they working THERE? Since when were they dating HIM/HER? Since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you should already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.
Please copy the topics below, erase my answers and put yours in their place, and then post it in your journal! Please elaborate on the questions that would benefit from elaboration. One-Word-Answers seldom help anyone out.
First name
Valentina. That's latin for "she who feels well" or can be loosely translated to "she who says goodbye". Love my name, mostly because it's latin and because my parents called me Valentina from the first woman on space, Valentina Tereshkova.
Age
26. Not much to elaborate here, I mean, born in 1983, that's it. It's the year of Return of the Jedi, and Every Breath You Take.
Location
Venice, Italy. Despite everything that's going on recently, I still love this country. I love the history, I love the literature, I love the language, and let's face it, I love pasta too.
Occupation
None at the moment. Wish I could elaborate, but really, there's nothing. Blank paper.
Partner
Again, none, and I have a feeling it's going to be this way for a while. I'm absolutely not ready for any kind of commitment, and friendships, even close ones, are all I can handle at the moment.
Kids
Not ready! First, I don't have a partner, second, even if I think I'm mature enough, I still want to enjoy my youth. The idea of having a family, kids, people who could, you know, get sick and die (like the rest of my family) scares the hell out of me. So, first I have to work on this trauma, and then we'll see.
Plus, if I had kids, I would make them wear cosplay every other day, and frilly clothes, and take pictures of them. We don't want poor innocent kids to go through all of that, don't we?
Brothers/Sisters
Used to have a little sister, but she died in 2001. And even if it's 8 years already, sometimes it feels like yesterday, sometimes it feels like 20 years ago.
Pets
Sakura, my cat. She's four already, and she just started being a bit more mature than usual. She's still very cheerful and funny, but she's also started enjoying spending all day on a chair by the window, with a very contemplative expression. :D
List the 3 biggest things going on in your life
It's actually a boring period of my life (boring is good, in my opinion), so there's nothing really big going on. Let's say that the 3 best things I can think of at the moment are:
1- Leaving in a few hours for my first trip since May, and finally getting to see Juu-chan and her wonderful family.
2- Being through with all the house-related stuff. The new bathroom is completed, and there's nothing else to do. Just me and my Octopus' Garden.
3- Christmas concerts with my choir next month. My throat is sore from all the singing from this afternoon!
Oh, and yesterday my washing machine broke down, and they're going to repair it next friday, so I had to wash the sheets in the sink. That was tiring, but surprisingly funny. Must have been all that soap I sniffed. XD
