It's been a very quiet couple of days. Most people are on holiday, including all my neighbours, and it looks like a ghost town outside. It's cold and windy, and Sakura is spending the whole day sleeping under the covers on my bed. Earlier today I found her hugging one of my teddy bears, it was really, really cute. :D
Yesterday I finished watching that Silent Hill 2 playthrough I was telling you about in my last entry. I loved it. The story was incredibly intriguing, and I loved everything about the ending. I have a basic knowledge of where the monsters come from in the other Silent Hill games, but I much preferred this game's mythology. And I really loved the soundtrack.
So this morning I looked for a walkthrough of the whole Silent Hills teaser, the one with Del Toro and Norman Reedus, as I assumed it would be more or less the same. But holy shit, I almost peed my pants. It was the scariest thing I'd ever seen, and I wasn't even the one playing it. There's a puzzle, towards the end, that gets activated when the mic in the controller can hear the player screaming. These guys know what they're doing. *shakes fist*
The best part was when the player finally got outside the haunted house, and I instantly recognized the place. Sure, the graphics were amazing and realistic, but it was definitely the same town from Silent Hill 2. It was this weird feeling of suddenly being home, after a whole hour trapped in a nightmare. A sort of scared nostalgia, I'd call it. :D
But yeah, I'm not going to buy this game when it comes out, as it would definitely give me a heart attack. I'm probably going to watch a walkthrough on my phone, while hugging my cat. Yep.
