Feb. 4th, 2007 08:12 pmNow I feel a lot better: I just had a shower and washed my hair, my sight is still a bit blurred, but it looks like it's getting better, and tomorrow I'll try and have a stroll. I'm dead bored, standing inside, and being careful with everything that could hurt my eye. And I suddenly feel the urge to lift some heavy books. :P
That being said, I spent the afternoon watching the ceiling and listening to the Children of Men soundtrack (one made by me with the songs used in the movie, not the one with the classical pieces). The songs were great, but having no one to share them with it felt like watching paint dry, so I decided to watch the third episode of Nodame Cantabile. It was hilarious as always, especially the dancing timpanist part! ^^
We don't care what flag you're waving
We don't even want to know your name
We don't care where you're from or where you're going
All we know is that you came
You're making all our decisions
We have just one request of you
That while you're thinking things over
Here's something you just better do
Free the people now
Do it do it do it now
Well we were caught with our hands in the air
Don't despair paranoia is everywhere
We can shake it with love when we're scared
So let's shout it aloud like a prayer
Do it do it do it now
We don't care what rules you're playing
But we don't want to play your game
You think you're cool and know what you are doing
And 666 is your name
So while you're jerking off each other
You bear this thought in mind
Your time is comin' you better know it
But maybe you just can't read the signs
Free the people now
Do it do it do it now
Well you were caught with your hands in the kill
And you still got to swallow your pill
As you slip and you slide down the hill
On the blood of the people you killed
Stop the killing now
Do it do it do it now
Of all the songs he could have used, this is really the perfect one for the rolling credits in CoM: I was already crying, but when the music started, my brain went "it's John Lennon!", and I started sobbing.
Maybe I'm getting too emotional with movies lately, or maybe it's Lennon's music... :D
