Sep. 24th, 2006 11:13 amFirst: one year since we moved in the new, cursed house. And it's a sunny, wonderful day as one year ago, and that makes me nervous.
Second: yesterday, for the very first time, I had a fight with those two friends of mom I always talk about. Actually, I closed myself in the bathroom, just to stop myself from saying something too offensive. Last time I closed myself in the bathroom to avoid a fight it was 1999, and my dad was still alive. O_o Anyway, they insulted me, they told me that I "talk about mom as if she were a machine or some computer".
Yes, they had the guts to tell me that.
My aunt tried to cheer me up later, giving me the usual piece of advice "ignore them, just nod, don't listen to what they say", but I'm tired of doing it. It seems as if everyone else can be cruel and childish, and I have to bear with them!
There was a silver lining, though: my aunt decided to watch a movie with me (it was already midnight), knowing that would have made me really happy, and so we watched Nanni Moretti's Il Caimano, which we both loved to pieces (and it features a clip from Spirited Away, and The Blower's Daugther! Happy, happy, happy!).
The funny thing was that when my aunt entered her room yesterday, the first thing she told me was:
"Darling, I want to see Reservoir Dogs"
*insert Nausicaa spitting orange juice all over the wall. She obviously chose the moment when I was drinking, of course*
Me: "But why?!"
Aunt: "Because you always talk about this movie! And lots of persons talk about this movie, so I want to see it"
Mr Brown: "You want to know what Like a Virgin is about?"
My mind: *explodes*
Me: "Aunt, it's a pretty violent movie... *counts all the times the word "fuck" is used* ...pretty, pretty violent"
Aunt: "I see..."
Don't get me wrong, I love that movie, but I know she's not going to like it. Not with Mr Orange lying in a pool of blood while Mr Blonde tortures a cop...
( A quiz! Love the result! )
And now, back to my life with a family! ^^
