Apr. 23rd, 2006 10:39 amAs promised, a entry about my trip! ^^
First, my aunt lives in the mountains, so the air was really fresh, and the setting was beautiful. We had a few walks, I ate a lot, and we went to Torino, where I wanted to see two museums. The first one was the Egiptian one, which is second only to the Cairo one. It was incredible, they had so much amazing things that I really didn't know how I could see it all! A couple of rooms were made by Dante Ferretti, the scenographer of the Aviator, and they were incredible: all the walls were covered in mirrors, and it was all dark, but some rays of light showering the sculptures. All the time, there was some music playing in the distance, just to set the mood! ;)
The second museum was the National Museum of Cinema (lol), and it was probably the best museum ever. You could interact with objects, and all the time you had to follow the road though curtains from one set to another. They had original scripts from such films as The Godfather II, Scarface, Psycho... lots of original costumes, and many rooms for every kind of movie genre. I got teary-eyed in the musical one, when they played "Cheek to cheek" with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers! ^^
I also cut my hair short, and I'm so happy with it! I look at the mirror and see a different person, it's great! Now if only this stupid cold would go away... I bought a couple dvds, About a Boy and Tre uomini e una gamba. I missed watching anime, but now that I'm back I'm already downloading everything I missed! XD
