Time goes so fast, Heaven is lost...
Oct. 17th, 2005 10:07 amI'm writing at a computer at university, as they still didn't connect me back to the net... aaaarghhhh...
Anyway, great news: on tuesday 4th I could see (at laaaaaast) the Full Metal Alchemist movie (subbed, of course), with Tati, who downloaded it for me too, and I loved every single thing about it! (I kept saying Shambala, Shambala, Shambala all through it...) Everything was perfect, the script, the music (just for Kelas, I'll give them my soul... not to mention Lost Heaven at the end...), the animation... Colonel Mustang was the most amazing thing since bread and butter, and Ed, Ed, Ed... I was of the idea they were going to make all the movie about Al, and his...ehm... quest (try not to spoil here), and instead they focused all the story on Ed, and it was such a brilliant idea! Hughes... well, many times I wanted to shoot him, and he even hadn't any pictures with him, but after all he was Hughes, so let's forgive him ^^ The ending was perfect, absolutely perfect. We obviously cried, and laughed, and screamed, and insulted almost every character on screen, and most of all the guy who did the cam, because it was plain horrible, but who cares? It's the movie, and now it owns my soul! And I'm so happy I could see it with Tati, because having a friend like her with me while seeing it was twice the fun. We even applauded at the same time during some scenes, cheered, clapped our hands, and screamed things like "look out!!! Whatcha doin'?!!!" And we both got teary eyed during lots of scenes, especially near the ending... And we talked about the political situation they're talking about in the movie, trying to understand every single detail with our knowledges from high school, it was great! It was like Calvin and Hobbes "Great experiences are even better when they're shared!" The only thing we both didn't like was Ed and Winry reunion scene. As long as we're both EdxWin fans, we would have preferred a scene involving only the two brothers, with no love interests coming in the way! ^^ There were also many many quotes I loved, but most of them are big spoilers, so let's write just this spoiler-free one: "Movies and weapons are both fruits of scientific techonology. If so, I will continue to make movies. From brilliant daydreams to another world that should not exist." I'd love to see this movie dubbed in German, too. And I want them to buy the series here in Italy!!! And I want to buy the dvd now!!! But I have to wait until it's released in North America, then I can order it as I did with the Tokyo Babylon one.
I already have two wonderful ideas for a music video, but I have to wait for a better copy to download... while waiting I keep doing stupid things, as writing all the lyrics to Bratya, in russian, as they were on the Hagaren Special. It took me more than an hour, and a good headache! But now I can sing it while playing it with my guitar! ^^ Milaya mama! Nyezhnaya!
EDIT: 7th October, it's the third time I see it, and this time with mom. I kneeeeeewwwww she was going to cry at the ending too! ^^ As Tati said, let's all cheer up for moms who got moved by anime!
Still, after seeing it, I felt a bit sad. First thing Tati said when the ending credits started was "Now it's really over", and it's so sad. My favourite anime is really over (unless of course, as I soon replied, they won't make a "Full Metal Alchemist - The Movie 2 - The Quest for More Money!" ^^ It's all Inuyasha's fault! XD ). Besides joking, this was really the perfect ending, sad but true. And now I'm listening to Endless Rain for the first time in four months, because I obvously hate myself, as I keep hurting me with this song... let me forget all of the hate, all of the sadness...
About real-life-this-way-of-the-gate *coughcough* news, on the same day I talked with my professor about my thesis. He was wonderful, really sweet, and explained me lots of things, gave me other articles to look for, and we decided to go to Pola (where the Fountain Carolina -my subject- is) around 20-23 November, which means, I CAN'T WAAAAIIIIT!!!! I'm so excited!!!! And he also said that if I do a good work, we'll probably publish it!!!! OMG, my first publication comes when I'm only 22 years old!!! Mom's reaction was "First write it, then we'll see", and she's right, but I really can't get hold of myself!! I even have to go to Trieste to look for some articles from 1880... amaaaaaziiiiing!!! Even if it's near Venice, I've never been there, and I oh-so want to see it!
Our new house, the Octopus' Garden is wonderful! It took us just two days to open and get rid of aaaaall the packs, and there were hundreds of them, but mom was getting histerical thinking something wasn't at its place... she's that kind of person, now she's washing all the house, inside and outside, she reminds me of that scene in E.T. when the Nasa guys come to the boy's home to take them, and they're wearing those funny uniforms to avoid infection! Luckly, on the second day Tati came to help us, we were really a great team, and I think we should have won some prize, as we were so fast! Me, I love this house, and love my new room. We also have a terrace all around the house, with lots of jasmine, really lovely! I also had a cold, so it's the perfect situation to get used to a new environment, as I had to stay inside for days... I'm also making some stupid things as "Now I'll see the first dvd in my new house!" or "The first cd ever played in my Octopus' Garden!" and so on. Btw, my first dvd here is "Love and Death" by Woody Allen, and the first cd is "Jesus Christ Superstar", although that time I sang along all the time (I know every word to it, and being a good Alto, I can easily sing both male and female parts... but Kaifa, of course! ^^ ) There's nothing like JC Superstar! ...your fellowers are blind! Too much Heaven on their minds!... I also read all the Full Metal Alchemist manga at last (scans, obviously), and found lots of weird scenes, as a flashback of Ishbal, with Riza pointing her gun at...Roy?!
I also made three new music videos, yay for me! The Full Metal and the Harry Potter ones are devoted to Molly, my fellow Alchemist! *sends lots of hugs and kisses* ! ^^ I'll upload them as soon as I can!
I also made my first colorbar ever! ^^
