We spent a good half-an-hour in City Hall complaining about that stupid wedding with everyone there. They told us they still had to come to work, but all the doors were sealed by police and they couldn't reach any citizen, it was very claustrophobic. They were livid.
I think the worst part is that it was real police who did all the security stuff. I would have been pissed if they had come with private security, bossing around, but using our cops, paid with our taxes, as private bodyguards, that's unacceptable.
There's a famous verse by Dante Alighieri which says "Ahi serva Italia", which translates to "Alas, Italy the slave", and it's been going round and round my head all week. One of the worst flaws of my people is their servitude towards rich people. I hate it.
