I think it would have been cancelled by now if it wasn't Marvel. People were tuning in every week hoping to see a cameo, a little in-joke from the movies, and mostly Coulson. But they couldn't survive on that alone forever. I hope this new direction the show has taken is here to stay, because otherwise I might drop it too.
