Supernatural is back! With a brilliant episode indeed. I'm really loving this year's main storyline, in terms of both Heaven and Hell. And the awesome rock music is back, double yay! We were just complaining with Tati the other day about how it feels there's been less music than usual in this first half of the season, so those first five minutes were very much welcome. And I loved all the character development, it all flowed perfectly. Had to close my eyes during a certain scene (it's quite easy to guess which one), but I get it was necessary, so no hard feelings. ;) And if Jared doesn't win some awards for this season I'm going to be pissed. He's jaw-dropping amazing.

So now I have to do some clean-up, shopping, and then it's therapy time, yes!

Thank you, I did! I had a great therapy session, we talked a lot about repressed anger (I could write a book on that), and I bought the ingredients I need for my favourite cookies. Tomorrow it's baking time!

Just saw it - I liked it! Even I noticed the music in the first few minutes and thought it was good to have some rock music back.

Crowley, gotta love the guy. I'm not too taken with the main storylines to be honest—nothing against them, just not particularly interesting for me—but I'm sure things will pick up for my viewing pleasure now that Crowley's back in the game. I'm very curious about what they'll do with his human blood issue.

You know, the scene of the confrontation between the brothers was looming over the entire first part of the season and now that it finally happened for real, I'm just so impressed. I'm always amazed by the way Jared and Jensen play Sam and Dean - the weight of all that love and all that mess between them, coming out in a scene that was so quiet. The direction and the writing helped a lot, too. (If there was a moment I would have given Jared an award it was in that scene. It stood out even more after having him as not!Sam for an eternity, it seemed. Suddenly he was there, talking to Dean and he was so much Sam, it made me hush inwardly.) When I compare it to the scene of the fake confrontation in the previous episode...I mean, I looked at that one and sure, it was a good scene, believable. Then I saw the real scene and my heart just sighed, nodded once, then went into the special corner where it wibbles for the Winchester brothers.

Oh, and how much did I love Cas in this episode?! There was an element of the earlier seasons Castiel, while he was also the Cas who has been through so much, including on this long journey with the Winchesters. Good stuff!

Glad to read you had a great therapy session and there's cookie baking time on the horizon!\o/

That confrontation was PERFECT. It was so Sam. Gadreel faked an anger that was what Dean expected, but none of them quite get Sam. It was glorious and heartbreaking at the same time. I was worried because we had been waiting for it for months, and it worked, it was so real and in character, and I was so glad that Kevin's death was so very important, it wasn't brushed off, it was a turning point for both of them.

SPN has a way of always turning the tables at the ending of every season, but right now I'd say our worst enemies should be the two armies of possessed humans, Bartholomew's angels and Abaddon's demons. Crowley is obviously hiding something, and Metatron is scheming and all, but I think those two are the biggest threath to humanity right now.

I really, really loved Gadreel and Abner. I saw their romantic relationship as text, not subtext, and I'm very happy we got some more layers to the character of Gadreel - I'll never forgive him for what he did to Kevin, but I can't deny he's a fascinating character. Mostly because he's so different from the usual SPN villains, and I'm intrigued. And the fact that he slit Abner's throat makes me think he only absorbed his grace, and he didn't literally killed him. That was a very specific way of killing him, and so far it's only been used to remove the grace from an angel. I'm getting the feeling Gadreel has a little plan of his own.

And Cas! He was amazing. He learned from what he did in season six, and helped Dean come to terms with what he had done. I loved that so much. And the fact that he comforted and managed to make Dean smile when he was so desperate, I want to hug them all!!! And his cute little smile when he thought he was going to ride shotgun, ahhdsfkhdfkhfkjhfg!

I want the gang reunited, but I also want a couple of episodes of Sam and Cas being super cute and acting all little brothers. Please. There's been a lot of suffering lately, we all need a holiday.

And I loved a lot how Kevin got a hunter's funeral, identical to John's funeral, and a huge reference to Darth Vader's pyre in Return of the Jedi. I was half expecting the Force theme to play over the flames. Quite apt, since Kevin was Han Solo. ♥
