Sorry for disappearing on you guys, it's been an hectic week. Among other things, there was work that had to be done on the building and that none of the neighbours cared about, because apparently everyone else here lives sticking their fingers in their ears and ignoring the problems hoping they'll just disappear. Thankfully I'm quite stubborn and got the job done. So yay for that!
Today I had a fascinating conversation on the phone with my therapist, prepared all the papers I'll need this weekend when I do my taxes, started on Eternal Sonata again. I had dropped it more than a year ago when I got lost in a dungeon, but it is a lovely game (and it has so much classical music), so I finally got out of that stupid maze and did some levelling up. I found a guide online when I couldn't defeat a boss, and found out I'm still very early in the game, even if I've already done 11 hours of gameplay. Wow, this is going to be much longer than I thought.
In other news, for the first time in my life, I forgot a fuchsia item of clothing in the washing machine, and dyed a whole bunch of laundry bright pink. This is what my bed looks like now:

I actually find this really amusing. I'm turning 30 in four months, and this is the most childish my room has ever looked. And I used to dislike pink as a little girl, now I find it quite a happy colour. :D Can't wait to see my aunt's reaction, those sheets used to be white with little flowers, now it looks like something from Barbie's summer house.
I feel a cold approaching, and with the temperatures dropping and the rainstorms I'm not surprised. Hot cup of tea and then to bed!

Date: 2013-05-25 04:31 pm (UTC)How's the filling of the tax return going?
(By the way, I love your new layout. Both the background and the choice of picture. And wasn't that an amazingly apt gift of Joan's to Sherlock? The funny thing is that the instant I read that quote I thought of Sam.*wells up* Actually, they should put it as a welcome sign to the Batcave, really. Anyway, may I have the code to your layout, please?)

Date: 2013-05-25 04:53 pm (UTC)I just had a call from my aunt again, just to ask me if I had all the papers. I panicked, got them all out of their binders, and started checking them all over again. I can't wait for them to be over and done, this is stressful.
I loved that scene so much. Beautiful quote, and so perfect for Sherlock's struggle. I absolutely adore how they write them and their friendship, it's something so good and delicate and so realistic. I just finished watching it all for the second time (addicted? who, me?), and it's even better the second time around. ♥
(Just sent you an email with the code ^^)

Date: 2013-05-25 05:58 pm (UTC)One thing that I adore about Elementary is that I can love it without feeling any discomfort. Sherlock has some huge flaws, in the racism and sexism department, to the point that I avoid watching The Blind Banker and Scandal In Belgravia because they make me sad, angry and really uncomfortable all at the same time. Elementary is completely the opposite, and it makes me feel happy just thinking about it. It's like a huge hug. ♥
Plus they don't do absurd plot twists for the sake of surprising the viewers, they always gave us the tools to deduce what was happening, even when it came to Moriarty. It's less "I wasn't expecting that" and a lot more "Oh my god, I knew it!". It's great. It makes me think a lot of Murder By Death's ending. :D
