nausicaa83Oh, I do love lazy summer afternoons. I literally have nothing to do today but smile. Well, that, and the laundry, and sorting a couple of bookshelves that make no sense whatsoever. I've also been listening to Cabin Pressure no stop since last thursday. It's been constantly on my iPod when I was out and on iTunes when sitting at the pc. Then back on the iPod while I was levelling Sora and Riku up on my nintendo. There's no specific reason why, I just feel the need to listen to it over and over again. 'Obsessed' is just a word the disorganized use for the focused. Sadly, that's me.
Getting back on topic, if there ever was one, I was tagged on tumblr to do this meme. Except I have no idea who the person who tagged me is, and I do not write anything over there, it seems like a waste of time. I just reblog stuff for a few friends who do not have tumblr accounts, and I stalk my favourite fanfic authors, that's all tumblr is to me. So why not bring the meme over here? Here it is. ^^

(I never tag anyone. If you feel like doing it, just go ahead! I'll try and go with ten random personal facts I do not remember sharing on this blog.)
1- I have green eyes. They go from bright green to dark green depending on what I'm wearing at the moment, but other than that they're green. The weird thing is, up until the summer of 2001, I had grey eyes. They could turn blue or dark grey when the light changed. Then, during the summer just before I turned 18, they turned green. It was a stressful period of my life, but I have never heard of anyone else's eyes changing colour because of stress. It was 11 years ago, but sometimes I still think I have grey eyes, and get confused when I read my I.D.
2- When I was a kid I never cried at movies, books or cartoons. I cried in real life, if I was sad or angry, but never at fictional characters, even if I cared for them deeply. With one exception, Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake. Just a couple of notes of the finale, and I started sobbing my eyes out. Now it's kind of the opposite: I cry at movies, tv shows and books all the time, but very, very rarely in real life.
3- I do not have a favourite colour. It changes every few months. Right now it's blue, anyway.
4- I rarely take naps after lunch, because they leave me ditzy for the rest of the day. I prefer to sleep only at night. But if I do, I always lie down horizontally through the bed, instead of with my head on the pillow, like I should. I started doing that as a kid so that if I woke up suddenly, I would instantly know what time of the day it was. Sort of like a totem from Inception, I guess. ^^
5- I can't see much from my left eye, and the right one is quite near-sighted as well, although not as much. There are various reasons to that, partly genetics, partly an incompetent doctor who delivered me while almost killing me. As a result, I can't see the 3D in movies, or consoles, or anything. It just looks like a plain normal movie, although darker, while the consoles just look blurry. From what my friends tell me, I'm not missing much.
6- I have three tattoos, three dots I got for my radiotherapy, so they're on my chest. I quite hated them until I read this comic strip. Now I actually like them. I'm not getting any other tattoo, though, because my skin is awfully sensitive, and it would hurt like hell. Not worth it.
7- I have an awful memory for faces. Really, really awful. After a few months not seeing a person, I just forget what they look like, and it's very embarassing. I have little to no idea what any of my classmates during the years looked like. And yet, I have a great memory for anedoctes, lyrics, poems, movie scripts, anything I heard. Guess my brain is making up for those lousy eyes with a very excellent hearing.
8- I have no allergies, but the smell of ammonia burns off my sense of smell for two days. Very annoying. I do not have any in my house, obviously, but if I manage to sniff some in public places, toilets, gyms, I run out like a bat out of hell.
9- I'm an alto. I have a quite wide range for an alto, so when I was in a choir, for a few years, I could sing both as a mezzo-soprano and a few baritone parts, to help the guys. It hurts like hell when I sing that low, but it's hilarious.
10- My mom was a doctor, and was very keen on making us all eat healthy. Crazily healthy. I didn't use any condiments up until the age of 21, and I first ate at a fastfood because that day she was out of town and I was feeling reckless. :D When I came back home, I obviously threw up everything (14 years without eating anything fried, my stomach was still virgo intacta), but my dad covered up for me, and she never found out.
Well, that was fun. And it sounds like the washing machine is done, so I can go and get the laundry out. All while listening to Fitton, obviously. I swear, I have no idea what's gotten into me. I even listened to Newcastle and Kuala Lumpur, and those are my least favourite ones!

Date: 2012-08-04 07:11 pm (UTC)Ma lo sai che anch'io sto ascoltando Cabin Pressure come un mantra da giorni e giorni??? E' una drogaaaaa!!! La cosa che mi dà più fastidio in questi giorni è passare 8 ore in ufficio con una collega non-fan che non capisce cosa ci sia di bello nelle serie TV e radiofoniche inglesi! Non le posso parlare di Martin e Douglas, che ormai comincio quasi a preferire a Sherlock e John (!), né delle ricerche che faccio per una fanfiction di CP che sto scrivendo, e mi sento isolata e triste finché non torno nel mio mondo del fandom alla sera. Sarò malata? Sarò esagerata? Mah! Non ero più stata così ossessiva da quando era finito Life on Mars, e ho detto tutto. C'è di buono che ho contagiato il resto della mia famiglia, e che sia il mio maritozzo che mia figlia ascoltano CP con me dalla mattina alla sera senza annoiarsi mai! Hooray!!! :)

XD Io sono davvero fortunata, la mia migliore amica condivide tutti i miei fandoms, e gioca a Yellow Car con me quando siamo in centro. Condividere le proprie passioni è davvero fantastico. ♥
