Fourth and final part of my London 2012 entry. ^^

We had lunch at an anatolian restaurant close to the British Museum. Amazing stuff, very tasty.

With a heavy heart and freezing bodies because, god, it was so windy and cold, we went to St Bartholomew's Hospital. We were on the right side of the road, and trying to understand exactly where we were in the scene, and I was talking with my nose in the air "...but that's the little brick building, so the cab must have stopped there, so the body must have been... here". I stopped, looked at my feet, and there was a red H painted in the right spot. From that point on, I got my eyes all full of tears, and Tati too. We really had the right weather for the situation, I swear.

This was on the wall right there. I think the mistake is cute, because it felt like whoever wrote this was feeling as moved as we were and didn't stop to check the grammar.

Then we moved on the other side of the road to take pictures from John's point of view.

There's the little freaking building that spawned so many "how-on-earth-did-he-do-it" theories. The weird thing is, it's a very small area, smaller than it feels like in the episode. It looks like there's no way one can pull a magic trick a-la The Prestige in such a small space. My money is on miniaturized Sherlock inside a time-travelling robot.

After that we needed to cheer up a bit and went to the Tower Bridge, so that Tati could take some quick pictures. By then it was freezing, windy, and we had just been crying our eyes off. This picture though turned out lovely. ♥

We did a quick stop at Kensington Gardens to that Tati could see the Peter Pan statue. A squirrel came down a tree, and approached me for food. Squirrels do not do that in Italy. If you see a squirrel here, you're lucky if it's running very fast from tree to tree some two hundred yards from you. This one came close enough to eat from my hand.

I do love this picture. *__________*

We stopped at the Hard Rock Cafe to get some final souvenirs, and I got another bear. Meet Captain Martin Crieff. :D I also got the drumsticks, since I already have the HRC Rome ones, and I'm thinking I should start a collection. ^^

On Sunday it was sunny and warm again. This is the view from our room. It was the highest room in the tallest tower, but the view was so lovely.

In the morning we went to the National Gallery. They have some incredible masterpieces, but the organization is rubbish. They even have paintings on two rows on the walls, I was horrified.

Postcards! \o/

Toffee Apple Crumble to sweeten the departure.

Our bags at the airport. We're two Pink Ladies indeed. ^^

We walked so much I even dug a hole in my favourite Converse shoes! :D

Everything I bought for myself (no souvenirs for friends and family in this picture). When we had to pack our common bag on the way back Tati came very close to strangling me.

The lovely cat in the dreamy blue light is a very un-limping Sakura, who's absolutely fine and not ashamed at all of the scare I got right before leaving.

Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3. Thanks for reading! ♥
