I'm soooo tired. It's been one hellish weekend. Sakura started limping on saturday afternoon, and I had to wait until this morning to take her to the vet, so I had two whole days to picture everything that could possibly be wrong with her in my mind, and believe me, I have a very vivid imagination.
Anyway, the vet turned her up and down, checked every muscle in her body for a good half an hour, and I think he took his time mostly because I was on the verge of tears. He thinks it's just a strained muscle. He gave her a shot, and told me to bring her back next tuesday for another check-up.
The weirdest thing was when he wanted to see her walking, he put her on the floor and started calling her from the other side of the room, and she ran to him without limping. He told me cats usually hide their limping when they're with the vet if it doesn't really hurt. But it was absolutely crazy. I was standing there babbling "but she was limping this morning, I swear! I didn't sleep last night, and she was limping, and I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested" while he was trying to tell me how cats are smarter than they seem.
And as soon as we got home, she started limping again, all while purring loudly, looking very happy with herself. Smug little one.
Anyway, crisis averted, and now I do need some serious sleep.
(And the Once Upon A Time episode was freaking amazing, but I'm not coherent enough to write a review. Definitely brilliant though.)
