Great news! Yesterday my aunt and I walked for miles all around Venice from one office to the other, and we managed to do everything we had on our list! First we sent my old tv to my aunt's place by courier, it should get there tomorrow. Then we went downtown, and next week I'll finally have mom's new ID, as a man from city hall will go later this week to leave it at the hospital, and there the nurses will collect it for me. As it turns out most people just leave all the papers with the doctors, but I much prefer to have all official papers at home. Then we went to the hospital, where in 2005 I had my cancer surgery, and I ordered a copy of all my papers, so I can bring them to my new doctor. Then we had icecream and we had a lovely walk around. It was amazing. We were far away from the usual tourist spots, and the sun was warm, and the light was beautiful, and it felt like my childhood afternoons. I'm so used to walking through tourist hordes that I sometimes forget what my city looks like where only families go. It was such a feeling of pure happiness.
After that we went to the optician, where we bought ordered new glasses. Mine will arrive next week, I chose a beautiful green frame, I'm so excited. ^^ And then we walked all the way back to the bus station, and arrived home by 8 pm. I was so exhausted but proud of everything we had accomplished. We even did a quick stop at the Lush store so I could show it to my aunt, and she loved it. And everytime I could, I fixed her new cellphone I bought for her: setting pictures and ringtones for her contacts (I set this song for my cellphone number), downloading apps, updating everything. She's so happy with her new phone. *____*
Today we'll just visit mom, I'll have my therapy session, and then in the evening it's the first day at the gym in a whole year. I'm equal parts nervous and excited.
Yesterday before bed I read this book that had just arrived to my aunt. We laughed a lot, so it gets the second-to-last square in the Reading Bingo.

For the "A Funny Book" square we both chose Liz Climo's The Little World of Liz Climo. Liz Climo is a lovely artist I first found on tumblr, who makes these lovely drawings of animals. They're both cute and funny, and I really love her drawing style. When I learned she was publishing a book, I ordered it right away. It's a short book, but it has all my favourites, and the quality of the paper is great. It's the perfect book for when one needs a smile. ^^
Time to shower and get ready. ^^
