nausicaa83: (<x-men> the name's magneto)
Today was quite a beautiful summer day. Warm and sunny, with a very nice breeze. I also had the nicest nerdy afternoon: after lunch I had a shower, put my favourite shirt and jeans on (the shirt has little red and white squares, sort of country style, and the jeans are short, just below the knee, and incredibly comfortable), went out for a stroll. I stopped at the comic book store, picked up a couple of manga, and then stopped at the cinema downtown and watched X-Men First Class again. It wasn't planned, I just felt like doing it on the spot. Sometimes it feels like everything I do, I plan it at least couple of days earlier, even simple stuff as what to have for dinner, so it feels nice sometimes to act on a whim.

It's a very small cinema, so even if I was sitting in the fifth row I was at the same distance the first row is in my usual big-ass cinema. It was quite the immersive experience. The second time this movie gets even better, because you can notice how the story unfolds from the very beginning, how every little scene or detail pays off later on.

There were about six or seven other persons, all teens, and it felt quite weird to be the eldest one. Also to be the only one who knew what was going to happen and who didn't cry out during certain scenes. I wanted to stay for the credits, but a guy came in to clean up, so I had to leave. I know there's no scene after the credits, but I always love to sit there and listen to the music until the end. Well, next time.

The best part about June is, I came out of the cinema at 7 pm, and it was still as bright outside as it was when I came in. It's almost 8 pm now, and the sun is still high in the sky. I love this. *_____*
