nausicaa83: (<final fantasy xii> beginning)
Yesterday I made some ratatouille. I had no eggplants, but besides that it was awesome. The problem is, I'm still clumsy when it comes to quantities, and so I made (and had to eat) like three times the right amount, and had a bellyache for hours afterwards, but it was so worthy. :D

Today is a beautiful sunny day, and that means, it's cleaning time! The floors are all shiny and the kitchen is so clean, but I'm really tired. Tomorrow it's ironing time, and then I'll be satisfied. ^^

I'm also going on with my list of movies I should have seen years ago. First on the list is Heat, which I saw because it had De Niro and Pacino together in it. Although this is usually the kind of movie I adore, I didn't like it. I mean, they were both great, and De Niro was really, really sexy (got me drooling on the keyboard every time he was on screen), but I didn't like at all the whole "I'm a cop, you're a thief, but after all we're all the same" routine. That's the same reason I don't like the Godfather (part I), I hate it when they try to make us think bad people (especially from mafia) are just doing a living like anybody else. I especially loathed the ending, even though the fangirl inside me was doing a happy-happy dance. Talk about conflicted.

Second movie on the list, let's hear it for Practical Magic! I didn't like it that much, but mostly because I just couldn't understand where they were going with it. Sometimes it felt like a cheap Fried Green Tomatoes rip-off, and sometimes it felt like a weird horror movie, and then they tried the romance but it felt completely out of place. Besides that, it's always great to see Sandra Bullock, and there are witches, so that makes it a good movie per se. :D

Next on my list: Equilibrium (1984-esque movie with Christian Bale? God, yes) and Carlito's Way. It's going to be one interesting weekend.
