And today's movie is... *drumroll* Silence of the Lambs! Yes, I'm slowly fixing all my gaps. ;) About this one, I liked it a lot, although I'm not sure it deserved a Best Picture oscar (even if we could argue if the oscars truly have some meaning at all :P ). The good points were the perfomances, no doubt, especially Anthony Hopkins'. Jodie Foster is one of my favourite actresses, but in this movie she looked a bit too scared and vulnerable to look believable. Stop shaking the damn gun, for god's sake! *sorry* The bad points: too many close-ups. Probably it's just me, but it felt really disturbing after a while, that all we could see of a person was his/her face. Or, to be more precise, just part of the face. It felt like a good idea for Hannibal Lecter, with all that no-blinking-while-talking, but using this device for every character felt really off at times.

It was funny to see how I already knew all the most famous quotes even without having seen the movie before. :D Liver, fava beans and Chianti. Sadly my lunch for today was meant to be liver and cauliflower (with a nice Pinot), but I took them all off the menu, because by the end of the movie just the idea of eating them was making me feel sick. :P Hurrah for potatoes, that don't look at all like anything you could find in a corpse! \o/

And I already bought all the ingredients for the sandwiches for tuesday (as tomorrow the supermarket is closed all day). That's one thing I'm really good at cooking! ;) By the way, I'm spending more and more time every day in the kitchen inventing recipes. The latest one was some sort of pumpkin sauce, which took two days to achieve, and it was so-damn-good. Sometimes I can't recognize myself, the girl-who-didn't-even-know-what-a-ladle-was. O_o
