nausicaa83: (<tsubasa chronicle> squee)
Song meme! ^^

The Soundtrack of my Life )

So, besides the creepy meme, today I feel better. Outside it's cloudy and cold, it feels like autumn, at last, so I hope I can finally wear my beloved white duster coat. I'll take a picture of it, it's beautiful.

Even if I have a long list of new movies to see, I couldn't help it and watched Amélie again. I love that movie so much! I know every line to it and I say them along with the actors when I watch the movie... embarassing, I know. My aunt called, and she's coming on the 23rd, hurrah! I'm feeling so lonely, I can't wait! ^^

Cinema update! Two new movies today, as it was cloudy, cold, and I didn't feel like taking a stroll outside as planned. So I crawled back in my pajamas, and watched:

Zatoichi (Takeshi Kitano): It felt weird seeing a samurai movie that wasn't made by Kurosawa, but it was something different and new: another view of that historical period, but this time made from a 2000 point of view. Nonetheless, I didn't really like it: it felt confused at parts, as if they didn't know where they were going with it, and the ending was incredibly stupid (sorry, but I couldn't stand the musical number). It was intersting to watch, but that's it. And do I smell a sequel? =_=

The second movie, I already knew I was going to love, even if I knew every single scene without having seen it before. I'm talking of...

The Shining: at last! As I have Stephen King's lost twin in my f-list (I love you, Becca! :* ), I finally got around and watch this movie, even if I'm not a great fan of Kubrick. It does deserve to be called a masterpiece, everything was perfect, every detail, the editing, the cinematography, the music. Shelley Duvall was a-m-a-z-i-n-g. She was never over the top, simply perfect. The bathroom sequence left me breathless. Jack Nicholson... as much as I love him, I don't think he was the right choice for this part. I mean, he already looks nuts from the very beginning! So it isn't such a surprise he goes psycho all around the hotel, I mean, the surprise is he didn't do it on the very first day! O_o So, for the first part of the movie he felt a bit off for me, then he went berserk and everything got perfect again. I must say, though, the creepiest thing in this movie is the kid talking to himself. Creeepyyyyy. Redrum, redrum, redrum, redrum...

So here's a bonus: the Shining re-enacted by bunnies! XD
