"Before they ask us to pay the bill and while we still have that chance let's face the music."

Remember all the cardio I did the other day? It's come back to bite me in the ass, literally. So many cramps in places I didn't even know had muscles. Had to skip gym today because of all the gym last monday, what the hell. Not to mention Sakura is feeling extra cuddly today, and doesn't understand why everytime she jumps on my stomach I push her away crying. She thinks it's a new game, I'm sure. Right now she's trying to climb my right arm, so any typo is her fault.

This morning I bought a new external hard drive, because the one I had was already full. I did a quick research online, and found out that they're doing them in terabytes now. Wow. I remember a few years back terabytes were for Nasa only. In the end I bought a Western Digital one, 1 terabyte of space (again, wow), and already filled 100 gbs of space with tv series and comfort movies. Yes, I made a folder specifically for movies that I watch when I'm feeling sad and need a hug, even if I have them all on bluray in the other room, but hey, there are never too many copies of my favourite movies. :D

Here it is, right out of the box, with the new The Hobbit artbook:

I've already ordered a bunch of stickers from RedBubble, for the laptop and the external hard-drives. They're going to look so pretty. *______*

And say hello to my new wallet!

I'm predictable, I know. It's leather, so it smells awesome, and has a billion pockets inside and doesn't look weird even if I filled it with coins.

On other fandom news, I'm up-to-date with Gravity Falls, which is an incredibly awesome series, and everyone should watch it, and has the most beautiful and realistic sibling relationship I've ever seen in western animation (except for Lilo and Nani, of course) and I'm totally Dipper. :D Seriously, watch it, you'll thank me.

And kudos to those kind souls who scan and upload online comics the very day they're released. I just finished reading the new Hawkeye issue, and it was, in a (predictable) word, BRILLIANT. I love everything about this series, the women, the fashion, the "bro" guys, everything! \o/

NOOOOOOO, tesoro, come è successo?????

Haha, you totally sound like me after exercising! I haven't taken up running yet (I want to start next week, because I've been putting it off forever), but I had a pilates class yesterday and now my tights and belly ache. After a pilates class. Feel free to point and laugh at me if you want :P

Omg the Hobbit artbook! I'm ashamed to admit I haven't got any of them yet, but I plan to get one (perhaps the first one) on Book day, which is only two weeks away. What's the new one about? Is it as pretty as the previous one?

[identity profile] nausicaa83.livejournal.com 2013-04-10 08:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh man, I hate pilates. My back is very delicate, and pilates kills me. Cardio is great, but it has to be a regular thing, otherwise I get lots of cramps.

The artbooks are both awesome! This one is about the characters only, with interviews with the actors, make-up department, costumists and so on. The first one is about the world, with concept art and so on. *________*

[identity profile] sarie-gamgee.livejournal.com 2013-04-11 05:18 pm (UTC)(link)
I was afraid Pilates would be bad for my back (I'd suffered from back pains for years), but it's actually helping! The girl who teaches my class knows about it, anyway, and lets me knows whenever a particular exercise can hurt either my neck or my lower back.

I don't know why I haven't got any of the artbooks yet, because both of them sound (and look, although I haven't had a look at the character one anyway) incredibly awesome.

There are a couple of pictures here to give you an idea:

As it turns out, nobody loves Thorin as much as Richard Armitage does. His comments on the character are incredibly insightful and utterly adorable.

Hello, hello! *waves*

I friended [livejournal.com profile] nausicaa83 a few weeks ago, but when your intro post popped up on the comm last week I thought your username looked familiar! :D

I sympathize with the aching limbs and lactose build-up in the your muscles. When I can, I always soak in a hot tub after exercise to release some of that stuff and keep the cramps from going spastic. Hot water bottles help a bit, too.

Good luck with getting stronger! It helps with depression and other feelings.

[identity profile] nausicaa83.livejournal.com 2013-04-11 06:54 am (UTC)(link)
I don't have a bathtub, in 2009 I re-built the bathroom from scratch and put a shower stall instead. With my low blood pressure I can't take hot baths, otherwise I might faint and drown.

Tati gave me a super technologic new hot water bottle for xmas, I plug it in and fifteen minutes later it's boiling hot. I called it Thorin Le Boule and spent almost every night since cuddling with it. :D But when the cramps come, the cramps stay.

Thankfully I don't suffer from depression, the gym is only to get my heart and lungs back in working shape after the cancer. It works better than I thought, but my muscles hate it when I take breaks like last month.

[identity profile] fioredelmale.livejournal.com 2013-04-11 05:52 am (UTC)(link)
Last time I tried to hit the gym I was in pain for days, DOMS so bad I couldn't walk. Hot baths, painkillers and arnica were my best friends -_-

[identity profile] nausicaa83.livejournal.com 2013-04-11 06:55 am (UTC)(link)
Arnica? Cos'è, un'erba? Me la devo segnare! Io mangio banane, col potassio riesco a controllare i crampi, ma non sempre bastano.

[identity profile] fioredelmale.livejournal.com 2013-04-11 05:16 pm (UTC)(link)

[identity profile] fioredelmale.livejournal.com 2013-04-11 05:27 pm (UTC)(link)
