From the looks of it, this is going to be another great day. It's a warm summer day, but not that humid, so I can walk around without feeling my blood pressure reaching negative levels. *___*

Yesterday we went to a Freeway concert, and that means that today I have no voice left from all the singing/squeeing. Now I talk like a mobster from the 40s who started smoking when he was 3, something that amuses my friends to no end, but that always scares my aunt on the phone. So I think I'll just have a cup of hot tea and practice the drums.

By the way, I'm working on learning how to spin the drumsticks, which is completely useless when it comes to playing, but it's so cool! I just have to remember to practice away from the TV, or any other fragile object in the house. Or my cat. Or open windows.

And since we're on the subject, yesterday I managed to do a 93% on Hysteria on Expert. Woot! Can't wait to have the new Rock Band 3 drumset, October 26th can't come soon enough!

Yay! Rock Band rocks! I have a 7 year old who likes to play the drums on Lego Rock Band (he has graduated from "Super Easy" to "Easy" and his rhythm has got so much better), and he loves to play together with me and my father. Last weekend he went through the tutorials on singing and quitar, and I think it's so neat how much basic music skill you can actually learn from this game. Plus it's a super fun "late at night with plenty of beer" game, and the 80s hits are really the most fun to play (even though not at all my favourites to listen to)!

It's definitely the best game to play with some friends, it's so fun! Lego Rock Band is cute, but my favourite is Rock Band 2, with the DLC I have tons of songs I love to play, and even if it's just a game it really teaches you how to play the drums. O_O

I agree Rock Band 2 is really fun, especially since we've bought tons of extra songs. Kid likes the Lego one best because of the cute graphics and figures, which I totally understand. :) And we can play quite a lot of the extra songs in Lego Rock Band too, but not the ones with "adult" lyrics, lol! (It wouldn't matter for us since kid doesn't understand much English, but I guess those are the rules.) Beatles Rock Band is the best, though - the graphics are just *beautiful* and so well suited to the songs.

Oh god, yes, I love Beatles Rock Band!!! Sad thing is, I'm the only one who loves them among my friends, so I always end up playing alone, or blackmailing them to play with me.

Well, playing the sad puppy eyes card works too.
