"Soothe me, I'll make you feel pure, trust me, you can be sure."

This is my St. Valentine's gift to myself:

Yes it is! It's the Granada The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes series, with the wonderful Jeremy Brett. I had heard about it from Sherlock fans a lot, and the complete boxset was only £27.93 on Amazon, so I decided to buy it. Such a brilliant idea, because it is even better than I thought! It's like the characters from the books came to life, and everything about it is so perfect I was quite speechless for the entirety of the first episode. By the second episode, I was grinning the whole time, like an idiot. This show is amazing, the actors are amazing, and I still have 39 episodes left! It's better than Christmas! \o/

And in case someone missed it, Felicia Day will star in Dragon Age Redemption next summer:

Too much awesomeness in one day. *______*

Jeremy brett was the first Sherlock i saw, and he will always be THE Sherlock from the books to me. The granada adaptions are wonderful! Have a great time watching all of them.

He's so perfect, he's incredible. Just like I pictured him when reading the books, down to every little detail. And Watson, oh I love Watson so much.

Jeremy Brett is Sherlock Holmes. No one can touch him.

The show is also great because it has tons of famous (mainly before they became so) actors. Like Marina Sirtis, Natasha Richardson, and baby Jude Law! Okay... okay... so he was eighteen/nineteen at the time.

But the series is just phenomenal, everything about it is brilliant. Some of my favorite episodes are The Solitary Cyclist (Holmes is so wonderfully tender to the damsel!) and the devastatingly bleak The Cardboard Box. Oh! And The Abbey Grange features Anne Lambert, who starred in Picnic at Hanging Rock which is one of my all time favorite films -- ever.

I blab too much, I think! Enjoy the mysteries!

I can't wait for baby Jude Law!!! *__________*

It's incredible the chemistry between Holmes and Watson: they just sit there, and they look at each other, and chuckle, like they're making some joke that makes sense only to them, they're adorable. *___________*
