It's been a dark and stormy day, but I had a lovely time. I went to visit Martina, that very talented friend of mine who does my nails, and who's pregnant now! Not to mention, her sister had her second baby a week ago, so we spent the whole morning talking about breastfeeding, babies, painkillers, giving birth, more painkillers, breastfeeding again. Then we did a little dance to celebrate how big her belly is (it's only three months, but she's huge), and then we went back to the topic of postpartum depression. All of this while doing my nails. I swear, I have so many estrogens in my blood right now it's not even funny. I need to watch some action movie with lots of manly men killing people, and I need it right now. I watched Game of Thrones when I came back and it was full of feelings and romance and I was crying and shouting at the screen "oh for god's sake will somebody kill someone already?!"

Oh, the tiny drawings on them are so pretty! I think that in light of all the gloom of last week these are very appropriate—as a stand for all that's bright and lovely!

I so much needed something cute and pretty! It's funny because while growing up I was never really in touch with my feminine side, and even if now I like pink stuff, and make-up, and cute nailart, and sundresses, when it gets too much frilly I feel uncomfortable. XD I need balance! Maybe I should marathon the Lethal Weapon movies tonight, that should tip the scales. :D
