"Until the rising sun I'm calling all the shots tonight, I'm like a loaded gun"
I already watched the new episode twice, so it's time for the Supernatural review of the week!
First, that's what felt so different about this new season. I loved it, but something was off, and I couldn't put my finger into it. Five minutes into yesterday's episode, and it was obvious: we were missing Sam. Cute, puppy-eyed Sammy that makes Castiel want to give him a hug. Sam who worries about Dean and feels guilty about everything, and we hadn't seen him since last May, and god, I just realized how much the show missed him!
Everything was finally perfect and smooth and just the way it was. The sword in the stone part was hilarious, especially how the music was following Dean's attempts. I loved how they handled the dragons, and made them feel natural and belonging to this particular universe. And I loved, loved, LOVED the ending. When they started talking about a Mother, I had the Mother of the Dark Spawn from Dragon Age in mind, but this version is so much better. After all, demons are humans souls, but this creature is just like the Angels, she belongs to a different, scarier plane. Seriously, I cannot wait to see what she has in mind.
Again, Sammy is back. The way he got Cass to spill the beans, it was adorable. I wish we would have gotten that hug, though, Cass' face was so cute!
Tonight we're having a birthday party here, I have the pastries, the gift, I'm ready. I even have the time to watch the episode another time. \o/
