nausicaa83: (<kingdom hearts> I'd rather be with you)

"Walking with a love, with a love that's all so fine."

I'm putting off doing something I should do (it involves papers and getting all of mom's documents out, and I've been postponing it since forever) and I'm dead set on doing it today so that I won't ever have to think about it ever again, and to put me in a cheerful mood, so that I won't throw everything out of the window or, I don't know, set the house on fire, I grabbed my camera and took pictures of the latest things I bought. So there.

An explanation first. Every year at the Disney Store they sell a customized snow globe for christmas. It's a tradition of mine to buy one every year, and put it by the tv. I love them. And I got my cousin into doing it too, although my aunt doesn't seem to like this traditon that much. Anyway! Yesterday I went to see if they already had them, and I found this amazing Jack Skellington one, with the Sandy Claws costume and the flying coffin and everything. It's perfect. Although when my therapist saw it she kinda turned green and tried to ask me why the coffin. It's so beautiful, that's why the coffin!

C'mon, they're adorable! *_____*

Also, I re-arranged my action figures, so now I have all the Kingdom Hearts ones on the shelf on top of my computer. They're so beautiful, the details are amazing, and now there really is no doubt about which game is my favourite one.

And Balthier, and Clare, I know. And Axel got cut off from the picture, poor guy is in the left corner. And I do need to get my dvds in some order, there are tv series among my manga, it makes no sense.

New entries, King Mickey and Roxas! I always tear up a little at that scene at Twilight Town. I love the distorded effect on the tower, like we're watching it from down below. Considering I'm sitting a good three feet below, the effect is perfect. :D

Namine and Sora. Wow, that Sora figure looks so much better in person than in picture. The details are amazing, and that's my favourite setting in the second game (I'm a sucker for angst, in case someone is new here and hasn't noticed yet).

Sora again, Final Fusion, and Riku in his flying thing. That stupid gizmo there, I had to do that fly-and-fight thing six times the first time I played it, because I wanted to go on with the story and I didn't want to go back and level up. The first time I play a game I always go to the bosses under-levelled and then swear in five different languages when I can't get through. My cousin is the same, so it's not our fault. It's genetic. Yep. We're the victims here.

Ok, now it's definitely time to get down and do that stupid census thing. Maybe I should put on some classical music to relax some more, before I start swearing and set the keyboard on fire. Mmmmh.

Ok, XMFC fic recs, here are the first ones I can think of, and now that lj is working again I'll do a proper post.

Boden's Mate -> http://archiveofourown.org/works/256615/chapters/400428
Definitely my favourite, it combines Inception and First Class, and it's, to put it simple, a masterpiece. I have read it at least a dozen times and can quote entire chapter by heart.

A Hundred Visions And Revisions ->
http://archiveofourown.org/works/224720
Combines XMFC and Doctor Who, in a very unexpected way. Amazing.

Never Too Late To Be Who You Might Have Been ->
http://archiveofourown.org/works/220402
This is the fic that got me into finally buying some X-Men comics. Combines First Class, the first two X-Men movies and the wonderful House of M series, although you don't have to read that to understand what's going on. Until the next movie, this is my head canon.

A couple of videos too, those never hurt:

This is my favourite vidder on YouTube, her videos are just like fanfics. You'll see what I mean. She's a goddess.

My favourite Charles/Erik video. I ripped the audio and use it as the alarm on my cellphone, so I hear it every day first thing in the morning.

*runs off and works on a proper post*

WIPs:

Paper Monsters ->
http://archiveofourown.org/works/254095
Read everything from this girl, she's great, but if I have to choose, this one is my favourite. I always puts a big goofy smile on my face. :D

Nine Eleven Ten ->
http://archiveofourown.org/works/252402
This one is really beautiful, the details are amazing, but it's quite depressing and cynical. So after reading this, I suggest you watch this video:

Amazing and funny as hell. :D

By the way, here's my profile on AO3, with all my bookmarks:

Gosh, I can be really thick sometimes. For some reason I didn't read properly what you said and was waiting for a new POST with recs.*facepalm* Until it occured to me today that it was HIGHLY unlikely you'd take three days to put together recs.

I don't believe myself sometimes.:)

Thanks so much for these and the ones in the next post! I am not burning with the same passion as I have been for "Sherlock" (honestly, for over a year now, brain--totally eaten) but I'm definitely curious/excited!!

[identity profile] nausicaa83.livejournal.com 2011-11-14 09:27 pm (UTC)(link)
It was lucky I made these comments straight away because then stupid lj stopped working for me for a couple of days, and my layout is still screwed up. ANYWAY! Hope you'll like them! This movie has eaten my brain just like Sherlock did, I need help. :D

Off topic, I just saw this:

and I thought of you. *______*

[identity profile] stardust-made.livejournal.com 2011-11-15 08:02 am (UTC)(link)
Aw, thanks for thinking of me.:) This was done for the Mystrade festival (where my "Unspoken" was a total hit--happy dance!!) and when I saw it I genuinely looked like a fish out of water. Too cute, TOO cute.:D Their little faces, and John's red set, and, and...
