They're adapting Neil Gaiman's Sandman as a TV series, and with Eric Kripke first on the list as a writer/producer. Still a bit skeptic here. Sandman is too complex, and sometimes very gory, they should cut so many things, but all the details are part of the reason why I love it so much. Yes, in Kripke we trust, but still, I'm having a bad feeling about this.

Maybe if they went for an animated tv series? I don't know, it still sounds like a bad idea. Thoughts, anyone?

I have the WEIRDEST images in my head now. Pretty sure Kripke could make an awesome series out of Death's adventures, but Sandman? Mh.

Maybe an anime, but a live action series? I mean, Dream's kingdom alone would take so much money to create, and there are so many characters that work in a comic book, but would never work on tv, like Cain and Abel.

Yeah, the only thing I think would work rather shockingly well in a live action series is the Corinthian. They're probably going to re-imagine a lot of stuff to make production smoother, easier, and cheaper.

Oh god, the Corinthian. He gave me nightmares before, a real version, with CGI eyes, would probably kill me dead. O_O

Yeah, he's one of my favorite characters and most of my favorite characters are pretty psychotic and trauma material, but they never managed to scare me -- except the Corinthian. I'd definitely be screaming my lungs out if I met him IRL. And I'd hide under a blanket even if it's "just" a CGI'd actor on the tv sceen. D:

The more I think about it the more I think they'd have to go for NC17 thing. What about the serial killers convention? And the massacre at the diner?

Yeah, most of the scenes of the comic books? I can't imagine them on TV thanks to their general nightmare content. No pun intended.

Kripke's a ridiculous and rather shameless Gaiman fanboy... so I do have faith in him. I mean a lot of the basis for Supernatural was rooted in American Gods... and even some things from the last season of Supernatural were pretty much taken straight from Good Omens. ♥♥♥

That's true, and I mean, it's Kripke, so I know he's the best we could have. It's just that the Sandman looks so impossible to convert to any other media, I can't even imagine what it'd look like. O_O

I am... sceptic. I don't watch Supernatural, so I don't anything about Kripke, but the idea of seeing everything adapted in live action is interesting, to say the least.

I'll have to wait until I hear more before I can render judgment...

Well, I kinda idolize Kripke, and he's proved many times to be a huge fan of Gaiman's work, it's just that it sounds like an impossible task. O_O
